Carbon Dioxide is NOT a Climate Change Force Popular mythology claims the "gas of life", carbon dioxide (CO2), is a strong climate change force. It is not.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is neither a strong climate change force nor is it a pollutant. Rather, it is a key atmospheric gas for the existence of life on Earth.
Any claim that carbon dioxide (CO2) is a strong climate change force is based on either ignorance or deceit... or both.
Some critical facts generally ignored by "climate change" charlatans:
CO2 is a gas essential for all life on Earth. An ample supply in Earth's atmosphere is critical to Earth's ability to support both plant and animal life.
As a fraction of the total volume of Earth's atmosphere, CO2 is a mere 0.00042, or just 0.042% of all atmospheric gases.
By contrast, oxygen, a key byproduct of plant photosynthesis of CO2 and necessary for animal life, is 525 times more prevalent in Earth's atmosphere.
Solar heating is the overwhelming force determining Earth's atmospheric temperature.
On Earth's "night side" (where solar heating is temporarily suspended), Earth's radiated heat might have some impact on atmospheric temperature.
Water vapor (H2O) is vastly more efficient as an atmospheric gas that can be warmed by heat emitted from Earth's surface.
Completely ignored by those who make the absurd claims about CO2 and climate change, is that CO2 is not reactive to Earth's outbound radiation over the vast majority of the IR spectrum given off by Earth's attempt to cool.
Over the relatively small portion of Earth's outbound radiant IR frequencies where CO2 is reactive water vapor dominates those reactions.
In the vast record of geologic climate and the more recent (100+ years) of contemporary records, there is no evidence whatsoever that there is any correlation between the amount of atmospheric CO2 and global climate. Indeed, the correlation coefficient between atmospheric CO2 and global temperature is near zero, revealing there can be no causative relationship between CO2 and temperature because causation requires correlation.
These facts provide sufficient clear evidence and rock-solid science to refute any of the nonsensical claims about CO2 being a meaningful climate change force. The UN-IPCC is political, not scientific. The IPCC's pronouncements on climate and climate change are unscientific nonsense contradicted by the clear evidence in nature and sound scientific principles.
Methane (CH4) is virtually nonreactive over the range of IR given off by Earth as it attempts to cool. Methane is not a climate change force, it is a climate change farce. Perhaps it's time for a "Save the Cows" campaign!
Science does not change over time. If CO2 were a climate change force, the evidence in nature would confirm that. It would be particularly evident in long term geologic date (see image below):
The correlation coefficient between global temperature and atmospheric CO2 in the above geologic record is a mere 0.29. Correlation coefficient must be greater than 0.70 to even begin to suggest the data are well-correlated.

CO2 is not a climate change force on Earth. It never has been; it never will be.
Solar variability has always been and always will be a key climate change force on Earth.
"Net Zero" programs designed to curtail and limit CO2 emissions are based on junk "science", have no possibility of impacting climate, and are a costly waste of precious resources.
The promotion of "climate change" fears in pubic schools is a travesty that serves no educational purpose, is not based on any real science, and is promoted by ignorance, fear, or a nefarious desire to misinform students.
The time to stop this climate change nonsense is now!
