The Myth, Whereby MLK Jr.'s FBI File is Under Lock and Key until 2027
Note that for many years, whenever history professor David Garrow has "needed" access to MLK's FBI file, he has gotten it. If the King file had really been under lock and key, Garrow would not have access to them. Period. That he has enjoyed unlimited access to it forever means that the story of it being under lock and key, is just one of those racial fairy tales which seem to grow out of the cracks in the cement nowadays.
