Are Southern Baptists Pandering To Minorities While Downplaying Whites?
The June 2013 issue of the Baptist Life newsletter of the Maryland/Delaware Baptist Convention features one article about an Hispanic ministry training center planting churches among that particular demographic and another about a church for Cambodians.
So what's the Convention done lately to titillate the religious enthusiasms of White folks?
There are some elites among this broader ecclesiastical association wanting to eliminate the term “Southern” from its title for its failure to promote inclusion in favor of “Great Commission Baptists” to reflect the desire for all to come together in the name of Christian unity.
So how are these churches popping up for the targeted ethnic flavors of the month promoting this goal?
If the excuse invoked is that it is often easier to persuade those of these backgrounds to attend congregations with others of their own background, why are sermons preached how shameful it is for Whites to prefer churches administered by their “own kind” as well?
