Another Supposed Comedian Lets the Real Hate Shine Through
Apparently, someone named Tracy Morgan - whoever that is - went off on a anti-gay rant in his so-called comedy act.
Apparently, someone named Tracy Morgan - whoever that is - went off on a anti-gay rant in his so-called comedy act. I have no idea who this is, but he said that if his own son were to be gay he would kill him and that being gay is a choice not biological. This Morgan person apparently believes he can say whatever he wants about any other ethnic, social group and not be held accountable, else his critics be branded racist. Typical of our society today. Double standards slap you in the face by those who seek not equality but preferencial treatment.
Supposedly this person is on some TV show. And he wants to say these things? Working in Hollywood? Sorry, the "just kidding" thing doesn't work. Not according to those attending his "performance" who reported this his demeanor changed completely. About 15 people walked out, according to one attendee.
He apologized . Um, no. The dirtbag meant it, every word of it. This apology is like caving in someone's windshield and then saying "Oops, just kidding." Or like saying, "I'm going to kill you and your whole family" but then putting a smiley face after it. Morgan can quite literally go to hell. But being who he is, he's already there, swimming a vat of hate and ignorance. Oh, but you can't criticize him.
Now I want to give you the reality side of this.
With all that being said, I truly believe he had every right to say those things. I just didn't like them, but that doesn't give me the right to try to pass a law to shut him up. It doesn't give me the right to "remove a word from our culture". The First Amendment was designed to protect offensive or unpopular speech, not stuff we all agree on. I hate what he said, but he hates himself more. So be it. But that does not mean I need to stop him. I do, however, have the right to say whatever I want about what he said.
The current - hopefully short-lived - administration is hell bent on destroying the First Amendment by the cluster bomb of political correctness. This has to end. Hopefully it will.
Take this to heart: there should be no limit on what someone can say. If you don't like it, boycott, picket, criticize. But you should not be able to pass laws on the non-existent thing called "hate speech". There is no such thing. You just don't like it. Either get therapy or speak up about it yourself.
The meek may inherit the Earth. But it's the strong who contest the will.
