Barack Hussein Obama Refused: "I Did Not Want To Concede"
How does one who claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ help to legislate killing the unborn? It is a complete contradiction to the teachings of the Bible ("You shall not murder" [Exodus 20:13].
As an Illinois state senator, Barack Hussein Obama refused to support legislation to protect babies that survived late-term abortions, claiming "I did not want to concede."
To what was Obama referring? His statement was in reference to babies that were fully outside their mothers' wombs. Thus, Obama did not want to concede the fact that babies who survived a late term abortion were in fact "persons." He was the only senator of the Democrat Party to speak against baby protection legislation. He was the only legislator from either side of the political isle that took his position.
In 2002, the Illinois State Legislature passed the Infant Liability Act to outlaw the inhumane practice of infanticide. There was never a thought that this bill would be opposed. However, Obama opposed it on two different occasions — first by trying to limit discussion and then trying to block a vote on it in the committee he chaired.
How presumptuous. Obama must actually believe what is said of him by Louis Farrakhan (who praised Obama as "Hope of entire world" at the Nation of Islam's Saviour's Day event). Obama tried to play God when it came to life and death of babies.
What did the Savior of the World say about children? "But who so shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." (Matthew 18:6) Clearly, babies who survive abortions and are breathing on their own are children. Obama is a hypocrite betraying those who are black. "79% of Planned Parenthood clinics are placed in target minority neighborhoods. Almost half of all African-American children conceived are aborted. And while accounting for only 13% of the population, African-American women submit to an enormous 35% of all abortions in the United States." — Gerald Korson
It is written: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." (John 10:27-29) So, who does Barrack listen to? Is it only the words of his liberal and controversial pastor, who preaches an Afrocentric doctrine?
Because widespread acceptance of abortion has become the norm in our society, millions have become desensitized. Abortions result in the death of a living human being. Late term abortions are the most hideous and cruel variety of all. Unfortunately, too many Americans have a distorted view of the word "abortion." They refuse to call it "killing" or "murder" because they do not equate it with such acts.
There was a time when pro-abortionists told us that having an abortion wasn't all that bad; first trimester only, or if the woman's life was endangered. However, when confronted with the truth of the matter — illustrations, photos and fully documented medical procedures — pro- abortionists had the nerve to become offended. What were they offended by? The ugliness and depravity. How dare those of us who choose life introduce reality into the debate!
Many people pride themselves as progressive, open minded, and tolerant. They just might as well pride themselves as being people who can rationalize human kindness natural emotions out of any issue. They who convince themselves to condone murder view anyone who is concerned about abortion as not being "enlightened."
Do you kind of wonder if these pro- abortionists could discuss Nazism with the same degree of tolerance? Perhaps so; the far left have often referred to the Bush administration using similar references (i.e. "Nazis" and "baby-killers" regarding the Iraq war).
Obama dispassionately listened to the testimony of a nurse, Jill Stanek, who described hearing a baby's cry that could be heard down the hall during a late term abortion in a hospital in Illinois. Another nurse placed the dying child in a soiled utility room to die. "I couldn't bear the thought of this suffering child lying alone in a soiled utility room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived."
"Barack Obama is the most pro-abortion presidential candidate ever.
"He is so pro-abortion he refused as an Illinois state senator to support legislation to protect babies who survived late-term abortions because he did not want to concede — as he explained in a cold-blooded speech on the Illinois Senate floor — that these babies, fully outside their mothers' wombs, with their hearts beating and lungs heaving, were in fact 'persons.'
" 'Persons,' of course, are guaranteed equal protection of the law under the 14th Amendment.
"In 2004, U.S. Senate-candidate Obama mischaracterized his opposition to this legislation. Now, as a presidential frontrunner, he should be held accountable for what he actually said and did about the Born Alive Infants Bill.
"State and federal versions of this bill became an issue earlier this decade because of 'induced labor abortion.' This is usually performed on a baby with Down's Syndrome or another problem discovered on the cusp of viability. A doctor medicates the mother to cause premature labor. Babies surviving labor are left untreated to die."
And to think that this man wants to become America's president. According to National Journal, Barack Hussein Obama is the most liberal presidential candidate within the Democrat Party. The "Yes We Can" lofty oracle prides himself on being the most pro-abortion candidate ever.
