You’ve got to love the liberal media; they never give up. These days they are trying to convince the world that the six Muslim imams removed from a US Air flight in Minneapolis were detained only because they were saying their prayers.
You’ve got to love the liberal media; they never give up. These days they are trying to convince the world that the six Muslim imams removed from a US Air flight in Minneapolis were detained only because they were saying their prayers. In fact, they engaged in several very suspicious activities that had nothing to do with prayers. And it turns out their spokesman has ties to a terrorist organization, something that was not known at the time they were removed.
Here’s the story the way the liberal news media is spinning it: Six innocent imams were removed from the flight because three of them said their prayers out loud. Passengers and crew members succumbed to “anti-Muslim hysteria” and convinced authorities to remove them from the plane.
Here’s the real story:
Suspicious activity #1- When the imams boarded the plane, they did not go to their assigned seats. Two sat down in first class, two sat at the front of the main cabin, and two sat at the back. Law enforcement officials have identified this as a pattern that would allow two hijackers to control the first class area, while the other two pairs could bracket the rear cabin and easily control it.
Suspicious activity #2- When they were asked to go to their assigned seats, they refused. ANYONE (Muslim or not) who refuses to obey the directions of aircraft personnel is subject to arrest.
Suspicious activity #3- Although none of them were overweight, several of the imams asked for seat belt extenders. These are short pieces of seat belt with a heavy buckle on the end. By wrapping the belt around one’s hand and swinging the buckle at someone’s head, one could have a very effective weapon provided by the airline. There is only one reason to request an extender – if the regular belt will not fit around one’s waist. Whether it was a Muslim, a Christian or a Jew who requested a potential weapon that they clearly did not need, such a request is bound to raise suspicion.
Suspicious activity #4- Several passengers reported to airline personnel that they heard the imams talking negatively about the U.S., saying something about “killing Saddam,” and that the imams “seemed angry,” according to police statements. It is not clear what was meant by these statements, but apparently the passengers feared that the imams might try to hijack the flight in retaliation for Saddam Hussein’s arrest and death sentence.
Suspicious activity #4 by itself would not have been grounds for removing the imams, but any of Suspicious Activities #1, #2 and #3 would have been. Suspicious activity #4 was just the icing on the cake. The authorities would have been derelict in their duties (not to mention crazy), if they had NOT removed the suspicious imams.
Here’s how the Muslims are spinning the story: Bushra Khan, spokeswoman for CAIR's Arizona chapter, said, "All these men did was pray, and it was misunderstood. The bottom line is that they were Middle Eastern-looking men...and that scares some people." (See LINK below.) Note that she did not mention any of the Suspicious Activities that were the real reasons they were removed.
The spokesman for the six imams, Omar Shahin, had this to say: "This was humiliating, the worst moment of my life. To practice your faith and pray is a crime in America?" he said. Kind of pulls at your heartstrings, until you learn about his past.
A Muslim website (see LINK below) refers to Shahin as “Representative Imam Omar Shahin of the Kind Hearts Organization.” Kind Hearts has raised funds for the Hamas terrorist organization. “KindHearts is the progeny of Holy Land Foundation and Global Relief Foundation, which attempted to mask their support for terrorism behind the façade of charitable giving,” said Stuart Levey, Treasury Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence. (see LINK below).
There is also a link to Shahin’s business card for Kind Hearts below, further proof of his ties to this terrorist support group. Shahin admits to supporting Osama bin Laden (see LINK below), and has expressed doubt that there were any Muslims involved in 9-11. Just the kind of guy the Muslims want as a spokesman.
Were the imams planning to hijack the airplane? I don’t know. They could have deliberately acted in this way so that they would get kicked off the plane and then claim discrimination. If so, they are getting what they wanted. The far-left wackos are crying big tears over the supposed “racial and religious discrimination” involved in the incident. (Why can’t they get this straight? Muslims aren’t a race; they are part of a religion. I guess they just like having an extra name to call the people who are trying to protect us.)
Perhaps they were planning to hijack the plane. The fact that no weapons were found proves nothing. Improvised weapons were used to bring down the four 9-11 flights. The seat belt extenders would have been very effective as improvised weapons.
Investigations by both the police agencies involved and the airline pilots association have shown that everything was done by the book. If you had been there (particularly if your life had potentially been at risk as a passenger or crew member), you would have done the same.
But the six imams and Muslim organizations will get lots of mileage out of this, and will use it to intimidate police and airline personnel on future flights. Perhaps they will intimidate them enough to allow another group of Muslim suicide zombies to bring down another American airliner.
The imams and CAIR (the Council on American – Islamic relations; sort of a Muslim ACLU) are calling for a boycott of US Air. I for one appreciate US Air having the guts to do the right thing. I am tired of watching Mohammed board flights without a second look because of political correctness, and seeing children and grandmothers being searched instead.
We should arrange an anti-boycott of US Air. If you are planning an airplane trip, book it on US Air instead of some of the airlines that are bowing to Muslim pressure. Show US Air that you appreciate them for using common sense.
