Slightly more than a week has passed since the country voted the Democrats into power. Already they are overreaching and causing chaos.

The blood of the Iraqi people will be on the Democrats’ hands if they pull our troops from Iraq. As an American citizen it is our duty to understand what we voted for. The biased media will try to confuse us because it has its own political agenda. We failed to do our political homework and become pro-active.
A New York Times headline questions the wisdom of those who want to cut the funding needed to continue our efforts to win the peace in Iraq.
The Times held its concerns back from the American public until after the election. Coincidence?
I speak politics. Let me translate Democrat: "Deployment in the region" actually means “a total pull out from Iraq.”
The majority of Democrats in the House and Senate want us out of Iraq. Senator Carl Levin said that we must begin withdrawing our troops within four to six months. However, retired generals who complained about the war before the election now state that we should not pull out.
Excerpts from Newsweek poll:
While a bare majority of 51 percent called the Democrats' victory 'a good thing,' even more said they were concerned about some of the actions a Democratic Congress might take, including 78 percent who were somewhat or very concerned that it would seek too hasty a withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
Another 69 percent said they were concerned that the new Congress would keep the administration "from doing what is necessary to combat terrorism."
(poll details)
The American public, who supposedly were so concerned about Iraq, voted unwisely when they threw the GOP out. Unless cut and run is your forte, the Democrats never offered an acceptable plan for Iraq to justify this change.
The Liberal Land of Bizzarro and Corruption
The liberal analytical process is unfathomable and dangerous. The Democrats should have never been put back into power. Despite talk of returning ethics to Congress, they are the party with corruption problems. The GOP gets rid of their corrupt people. However the Democrats reward theirs.
Congressman Jack Murtha is the ranking Democrat on the Defense appropriations subcommittee. He is under scrutiny for ethics issues that are linked to the Abscam scandal. It seems that Murtha has lobbying ties with his brother, and has been successful in steering defense contracts to his firm’s clients. http://neveryetmelted.com/?p=1880
Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid was entangled with Jack Abramoff, who has been given a new place to live, it's called prison. Reid collected nearly $68,000 in donations from Abramoff's firm, lobbying partners and clients. http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/02/09/D8FLR3380.html
Newly-elected Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has illegals working in her upscale hotels and the vineyards that she and her husband own. These are the people now in power. (Front Page Magazine article)
The Democrat's shinning star, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama expressed his beleaguered regrets for an improper land purchase in 2005 from now-indicted political fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko. (Sun Times article)
How dare these same people try to besmirch President Bush with outlandish lies and accusations that are too many to mention? He has been called a liar and a Hitler; worse, the lies were effective.
The Iraqi people and their new democracy have been compromised even more now that the Democrats have been elected. They will be wide open for a complete takeover by Islamic radicals if our troops are forced prematurely to withdraw. Terrorists will take charge of a pivotal country in the War on Terror. Al Qaeda, with Iraqi oil, will rule the Middle East and have plenty of terrorist capital and training ground for all.
That lack of intelligent reasoning which emanates from John Kerry, Jack Murtha, Carl Levin, and newly elected speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, puts America at the mercy of terrorists and will bring death to the Iraqi people.
Democrat leaders have decided to bring our troops home “at any cost.” Those who would allow innocent people to be slaughtered for political gain are wicked and immoral.
The Democrats called Gen. John Abizaid, U.S. commander in the Middle East, to testify on Capitol Hill. Although the Democrats accused President Bush of not listening to his generals before the election, they disagreed with the general when he said we should not pull out prematurely.
He gave the American public the truth cornering Iraq. It's time some folks grow up in this country. War is hell, but necessary if you want to remain a free country, safe from terrorism.
Excerpts from AP, The New York Times:
Get Out of Iraq Now? Not So Fast, Experts Say
WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 — One of the most resonant arguments in the debate over Iraq holds that the United States can move forward by pulling its troops back, as part of a phased withdrawal. If American troops begin to leave and the remaining forces assume a more limited role, the argument holds, it will galvanize the Iraqi government to assume more responsibility for securing and rebuilding Iraq.
This is the case now being argued by many Democrats, most notably Senator Carl Levin of Michigan, the incoming chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, who asserts that the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq should begin within four to six months.
But this argument is being challenged by a number of military officers, experts and former generals, including some who have been among the most vehement critics of the Bush administration’s Iraq policies."
Anthony C. Zinni, the former head of the United States Central Command and one of the retired generals who called for the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, argued that any substantial reduction of American forces over the next several months would be more likely to accelerate the slide to civil war than stop it.
“The logic of this is you put pressure on Maliki and force him to stand up to this,” General Zinni said in an interview, referring to Nuri Kamal al-Maliki, the Iraqi prime minister. “Well, you can’t put pressure on a wounded guy.”
“There is a premise that the Iraqis are not doing enough now, that there is a capability that they have not employed or used. I am not so sure they are capable of stopping sectarian violence.” (article text)
Americans wanted change. Well, we certainly got it. Congratulations. We are responsible for voting these characters into office. Unbelievable!
