Former Army Capt. Represents The Party Of Cut And Run
A former U.S. Army captain, Tammy Duckworth, is running for Congress (for the 6th Congressional District of Illinois) on a "cut and run" platform. We honor her for her service to her country. However, she apparently lacks wisdom and political maturity apropos the war on terror itself. It's obvious that her voluntary service to her country and her experiences have confounded her thinking, restricting it to a very small box called defeatism.

Excerpts from an Associated Press article:
"Former war vet attacks President on Iraq strategy"
WASHINGTON (AP) — An Illinois congressional candidate who lost both her legs during combat in Iraq said Saturday that President Bush has no real strategy for securing the war-ravaged nation, just political talk designed to appeal to voters.
"Instead of a plan or a strategy, we get shallow slogans like 'mission accomplished' and 'stay the course,' former Army Capt. Tammy Duckworth said in the Democrats' weekly radio address. 'Those slogans are calculated to win an election. But they won't help us accomplish our mission in Iraq.'
According to Democrats, we can solve our problems in Iraq by abandoning the Iraqi people and allowing them to swing in the breeze, to suffer more and more horrific sectarian violence and ultimately be subjugated by Islamic terrorists. Saddam would be thrilled. He's been quoted as saying that Iraq's "liberation is at hand."
Duckworth claims to be proud of her mission while serving in Iraq, yet she seems to have no realistic concept (or perhaps, conscience) when it comes to the innocent Iraqis who would be sacrificed (by the hundreds of thousands or even millions) if America prematurely withdraws.
The majority of the American men and women who have served in Iraq and suffered disabilities apparently do not agree with Tammy Duckworth, either.
Our honorable, courageous troops serving in Iraq want to finish the job they started out to accomplish. They know firsthand that the fledgling Iraqi democracy will need our help for years to come.
President George Bush never said that our mission in Iraq would be short or simple. From the very beginning he said it would take a long time to finish up the work and gain freedom for Iraq.
"Rebuilding Iraq will require a sustained commitment from many nations, including our own: we will remain in Iraq as long as necessary, and not a day more." — President George W. Bush, February 26, 2003
Americans do not deserve to be continually lied to by the media and the Democrat Party concerning the longevity of our stay in Iraq.
We can't afford to lose in Iraq. However, Tammy Duckworth thinks it's perfectly fine to embrace the same liberal mindset and foment the same morale-busting doubts and propaganda as Congressman John Murtha and Senator John Kerry.
Unfortunately, the party of FDR and Harry Truman has become the party of "cut and run." Tammy Duckworth expressing her misguided liberal views sabotages all the successes that the American and coalition forces have made since 2003 — (Iraqi Freedom). The ex-Army Captain is running for office in Illinois' historically Republican 6th District, represented for over thirty-two years by Congressman Henry Hyde.
This is not the time in American history to allow the far-left Democrats to run our country. They do not have anything to offer but defeat in Iraq. The execution of the war on terror would become a complete failure. The use of yellow crime tape around acts of terrorism is no longer prudent and simply not acceptable for the many years that lie ahead fighting an Islamic Jihad.
