In a speech on climate change, the Archbishop of the Episcopal Church compared those denying global warming to the stones blocking the tomb of Lazarus. Talk about killing a text.

A terrorist suspect in the murder of a British soldier was a convert from a Christian background to Islam. So will those usually outraged at Southern Baptist mission outreaches targeting specific religions speak out against proselytization effort flows in this opposite direction?

In a profile, a broadcaster declared that Stephen Hawking is in no need of a God. I am sure someone in his condition would fair wonderfully in a society not built upon at least nominal Judeo-Christian foundations but rather upon ancient Spartan or National Socialist assumptions emphasizing the physical body over the intellect or spirit.

The cover story of the June 2013 issue of Scientific American was titled “Tiny Engines Of Evolution: Millions Of Years Ago Phytoplankton Powered The Explosion Of Life”. Talk about a one hit wonder. These organisms have certainly been resting on their laurels since then. If these tiny creatures were what sparked evolution and still serve as the bottom rung of the food pyramid, where are all of the emerging forms of life or transitional forms that should still be popping up all over the place?

In an interview conducted by Marvin Olasky at Patrick Henry College, columnist Cal Thomas confessed to not liking the word “Christianity” because that term is not found in the Bible. If we are going to go this hyper-technical route, neither is the word “Bible” really found in the Bible. Does Thomas profess belief in the Trinity? Because that term isn’t found in the pages of Holy Writ either.

Regarding propaganda pushing legislation that would "allow" employees to be granted additional time off rather than payment for overtime worked, it has no bearing on the appropriateness of the bill that it is sponsored by a "married mother of two".

Nigeria is considering enacting a law that would not only prevent the normalization of gay marriage but punish those advocating the practice. Before American Christians get onboard in support, is it all that unreasonable to raise red flags as to what is meant by a provision in the legislation that would criminalize and punish "indirect amorous displays of affection". Frankly, that sounds like legalese for Third World cops to beat the excrement on anyone the consider foofoo but can't otherwise prove of being of that predilection.

At a car show, a four week old infant was celebrated as the youngest hot rodder at the event. With temperatures well over ninety degrees, the parents should have been charged with child abuse.

In the attempt to garner Republican support, initially immigration reform proposals would have required illegals seeking amnesty to pay backtaxes for those years these deadbeats suckled freely off the teats of Lady Liberty. However, it's now suggested that such a task might be too difficult. One guesses so with the agency's resources dedicated into harassing conservatives regarding what books they are reading and if any family members intend to exercise their civic rights to run for public office.

A one day pass to a Disney theme park is now $95. For that price, they ought to pump the thrill ride experience directly into the cerebral cortex without having to stand in line or even having to travel to the resort.

Marco Rubio claims that the majority of Republicans and conservatives will support immigration reform if the proposal resolves the issue permanently. The piece of paper held aloft by Neville Chamberlain was also suppose to resolve once and for all the particular dispute he was negotiating regarding people pouring over a disputed border, wasn't it?

A part of Bono's claim to fame is his tendency to travel around the world lecturing we mere working slobs how we ought to direct our finances assisting the downtrodden rather than upon frivolous luxuries. So will he condemn the nearly $30,000 paid by the IRS to a performance artist to paint on stage a portrait of the global rock star?

The transgendered won’t need special set-asides under Obama care if they don’t get their privates mutilated.

The cover story of the May 31, 2013 edition of the New Statesman examines the rise of a more robust Christianity in England as epitomized by a new Archbishop of Canterbury. It seems this time around a cleric is assuming the office that takes doctrine and divine revelation seriously for a change while possessing the aptitude to apply the Christian worldview in more practical situations. The article is titled "The New Power Christians: How God Is Taking Over The City Of London". Did this British news magazine, covering developments from a somewhat leftwing perspective, ever publish editions as eyecatchingly concerned about the rise of Islam in the British Isles and the potential danger of Allah taking over?

Is the perspective exhibited on the part of the Obama administration seeking to curtail the expression of assorted Tea Party organizations really all that much different than that exhibited by a number of these very same Tea Party organizations that refused to allow me to post my column on their own social networking sites or threatened to bar me for simply referring to God in a explicitly nonsectarian manner?

So if Obama's minions are cataloging every time an American breaks wind and passes gas, is J. Edgar Hoover condemned for extensive wiretapping or for exposing that Martin Luther King was a whoremonger?

Too bad the military is not as eager to ferret out Islamic jihadists and Hispanocsupremacist gang members from its ranks as it is the readers of Mark Levin and David Limbaugh books.

Given the response to Bradley Snowden for his role in exposing intrusive government electronic intelligence gathering techniques, should we conclude Dietrich Bonheoffer deserved to be executed for the role he played in the plot to assassinate Hitler?
