Recently Released Obama "Shock Video" Didn't Shock Deroy Murdock

"Writing last February on the campaign’s website, Obama supporter Sam Graham-Felsen cited the Democratic nominee’s remarks to a November 2007 ACORN gathering. 'When I ran Project Vote voter registration drives in Illinois,' Obama said, 'ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work."

Congressman Darrell Issa's release of a video of candidate Obama talking about his long intimate relationship with ACORN is available at http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/02/oh-me-oh-my-obama-caught-in-a-major-acorn-lie-video/.

Jim Holt, in an article titled "SHOCK VIDEO— Obama Caught in a Major ACORN Lie" and February 20, 2010, commented:

"The brazen dishonesty of this president is a bit concerning to say the least.

"A newly discovered video shows Obama lying to the American people about his relationship with ACORN:

"Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) from the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform released this video at CPAC of Barack Obama discussing his close partnership with ACORN. Obama talked about his long relationship with ACORN privately in this video before the 2008 election: 'When I ran project vote, the voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it. Once I was elected there wasn’t a campaign that ACORN worked on down in Springfield that I wasn’t right there with you. Since I have been in the United States Senate I’ve been always a partner with ACORN as well. I’ve been fighting with ACORN, along side ACORN, on issues you care about my entire career.”

The video is newly released and has been played on Fox News.

The substance of it--the Obama was ACORN's guy--was out before Election Day 2008, but not reported by the liberal media establishment.

For example, Deroy Murdock, "Obama Squirrels Away His Links to ACORN " (October 16, 2008) (http://article.nationalreview.com/375167/obama-squirrels-away-his-links-to-acorn/deroy-murdock): "Writing last February on the campaign’s website, Obama supporter Sam Graham-Felsen cited the Democratic nominee’s remarks to a November 2007 ACORN gathering. 'When I ran Project Vote voter registration drives in Illinois,' Obama said, 'ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work."

Is "smack dab" Obama's folksy equivalent of "you betcha"!

He has written extensively on political and religious issues, notably the Terry Schiavo case, the Duke "no rape" case, ACORN and canon law, and appeared as a guest on television and radio. He was acknowledged in Until Proven Innocent, by Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson, and Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin. He appeared on "Your World With Cavuto" to promote an eBay boycott that he initiated and "The World Over With Raymond Arroyo" (EWTN) to discuss the legal implications of the Schiavo case. On October 22, 2008, Gaynor was the first to report that The New York Times had killed an Obama/ACORN expose on which a Times reporter had been working with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.
