Back Glenn Beck Boldly, But Not Blindly, Like Michelle Malkin
This morning I received an email with this message:
"Friday, Aug. 28 -- More than any other conservative, Glenn Beck is connecting the dots that paint a frightening picture of what Barack Obama meant when he promised to “fundamentally transform” the country. In tonight’s show, Beck outlines what can be done to prevent America from becoming a Marxist state run by an authoritarian government.
"Please urge everyone you know to watch today’s show, which airs at 5 PM."
Beck is connecting the dots and his show should be watched, but Michelle Malkin, Stanley Kurtz and Matthew Vadum were investigating and reporting on ACORN and Obama as a radical long before Beck caught the scent and ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief blew the whistle well before Election Day 2008 and Beck did not hear it.
Ms. Malkin is my choice of conservative doing the best job of "connecting the dots that paint a frightening picture of what Barack Obama meant when he promised to 'fundamentally transform' the country."
Check out the astonishing proof, including Ms. Malkin's no. 1 best seller four weeks running, Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies, and her posts under "ACORN Watch" at www.michellemalkin.com, as well as Ms. MonCrief's posts at Ms. Malkin's other blog, www.hotair.com and her own blog, www.anitamoncrief.blogspot.com.
The truth is that Beck's been playing catch up, but that's a good thing and something to which the liberal mainstream media is averse to doing. The truth is that Beck's been playing catch up, but that's a good thing and something to which the liberal mainstream media is averse to doing.
I support Beck now for the same reason I supported McCain against Obama and Bush against Kerry and Gore: he's far from perfect, but he's much better than his opposition.
radical Beck finally sees the threat of radical transformation posed by Obama and his ties to ACORN, SEIU and such, which is great, but he keeps saying that it's not a Left/Right or Republican/Democrat thing, which is silly.
He's wrong: the looming radical transformation would come from the Left and Democrats, not the Right and Republicans. The Right (conservatives) and nearly all Congressional Republicans are resisting radical transformation and non-radical Democrats and Independents will side with them as they perceive the truth.
Of course, not all on the Left are radicals and most Democrats are NOT radicals.
But the radicals made Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House in 2007 and Barack Obama President in 2009, their ties to the Far Left (ACORN, SEIU, etc.)are provable., and Obama and Pelosi are working hard to implement the radical agenda.
Watergate was a Republican scandal (although most Republicans did not and would not have approved), and Obama capturing the presidency by promising "hope and change," moving to the center after securing the Democrat nomination, pretending to be competent despite his lack of executive experience, posturing as non-threatening and post-racial and improperly coordinating with ACORN is a Democrat scandal (although most Democrats are not radical and would not have approved of blatant lies and political corruption).
Yesterday Beck's guests included conservative Ms. Malkin and liberal Pat Caddell (former Carter pollster).
Early in the show Beck urged viewers to question boldly (as has become his practice).
To Beck's patent surprise, the intrepid and well informed Ms. Malkin boldly disagreed with Beck's denial of the Democrat/Republican aspect of the problem.
Bravo!
Ms. Malkin is absolutely right.
The truth does not fit Beck's preference to bash both major political parties, but it is the Democrat Party that the radicals have misused, not the Republican Party.
Pretending otherwise helps the radicals, Mr. Beck.
Michael J. Gaynor
Biography - Michael J. Gaynor
Michael J. Gaynor has been practicing law in New York since 1973. A former partner at Fulton, Duncombe & Rowe and Gaynor & Bass, he is a solo practitioner admitted to practice in New York state and federal courts and an Association of the Bar of the City of New York member.
Gaynor graduated magna cum laude, with Honors in Social Science, from Hofstra University's New College, and received his J.D. degree from St. John's Law School, where he won the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence and served as an editor of the Law Review and the St. Thomas More Institute for Legal Research. He wrote on the Pentagon Papers case for the Review and obscenity law for The Catholic Lawyer and edited the Law Review's commentary on significant developments in New York law.
The day after graduating, Gaynor joined the Fulton firm, where he focused on litigation and corporate law. In 1997 Gaynor and Emily Bass formed Gaynor & Bass and then conducted a general legal practice, emphasizing litigation, and represented corporations, individuals and a New York City labor union. Notably, Gaynor & Bass prevailed in the Second Circuit in a seminal copyright infringement case, Tasini v. New York Times, against newspaper and magazine publishers and Lexis-Nexis. The U.S. Supreme Court affirmed, 7 to 2, holding that the copyrights of freelance writers had been infringed when their work was put online without permission or compensation.
Gaynor currently contributes regularly to www.MichNews.com, www.RenewAmerica.com, www.WebCommentary.com, www.PostChronicle.com and www.therealitycheck.org and has contributed to many other websites. He has written extensively on political and religious issues, notably the Terry Schiavo case, the Duke "no rape" case, ACORN and canon law, and appeared as a guest on television and radio. He was acknowledged in Until Proven Innocent, by Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson, and Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin. He appeared on "Your World With Cavuto" to promote an eBay boycott that he initiated and "The World Over With Raymond Arroyo" (EWTN) to discuss the legal implications of the Schiavo case. On October 22, 2008, Gaynor was the first to report that The New York Times had killed an Obama/ACORN expose on which a Times reporter had been working with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.
