We Need the WHOLE Truth About ACORN, Obama and NYT


The financially challenged New York Times, leader of the liberal media establishment, desperately needed Obama to win, so it not only ran a phony scandal story about Senator McCain and an attractive female lobbyist, but it did not print all the news that really was fit to print about Obama and, among others, ACORN.

ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief loathes ACORN head Bertha Lewis, loves President Obama, and longs to reform ACORN without embarrassing, much less politically endangering, President Obama.

Unfortunately for Ms. MonCrief, real reform must be based on the whole truth and all the culprits need to be exposed.

Ms. MonCrief (www.anitamoncrief.blogspot.com) is doing a four-part series titled "ACORN and the Sandlers" that "will examine the core issues behind ACORN's reasons for not going after one of the worst predatory lenders in the country, and its 'strategic' partnership with the Center for Responsible Lending" and "review the World Saving backed ACORN housing ventures, Desert Rose in Arizona and ACORN-Glenn Subdivision in Texas."

That should be a meaningful contribution to public knowledge, but the untold story that most needs to be told is how "the ACORN man" (Obama) became the President of the United States as the liberal media managed the news to make it happen.

Ms. MonCrief concluded Part I of her series with a declaration of her hope that readers "will follow along...as we expose ACORN and their true role in the collapse of America's economy."

But ACORN's 'true role in the collapse of America's economy" cannot be fully appreciated unless ACORN's relationship with now President Obama is made public.

The great irony is that ACORN and its Congressional Democrat allies, including then Senator Obama, enabled and encouraged the issuance of "imprudent" loans AND blocked United States Treasury Department oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac sought by President George W. Bush supported by Senator John McCain and Congressional Republicans.

In Part I of her series, Ms. MonCrief "buried the lead" and touched upon the ACORN-Obama relationship.

Ms. MonCrief's next to last paragraph states: "As Bertha Lewis and ACORN gear up to stage protests around the country, one must wonder what they were doing for the past six years, the evidence will reveal that most of the time was spent making money for people like the Sandler's and their friends in the Democratic party. Their latest endeavor illustrates two key facts, one that ACORN isn't sure that it has its fingers around Obama's throat quite as tightly as they would like. So, why not do a little street theater, it's always worked before. They will cower him into submission the way they have everyone else with few exceptions. Secondly, like most of its campaigns, there can be no bailout for the homeowners without the 'ACORN off the top cut.' America's taxpayers are now part of one of the biggest schemes in the country, our money is being used to position ACORN for the 2010 and 2012 elections. As evidence has shown, Washington needs less ACORN cronies, not more."

The key words are: "ACORN isn't sure that it has its fingers around Obama's throat quite as tightly as they would like."

That's an unambiguous, unqualified assertion that ACORN has its fingers around Obama's throat.

What is in question is only how tightly ACORN's fingers are wrapped around Obam's throat, not whether they are there?

When did ACORN's fingers seize President Obama's throat and why are they still there?

During the last presidential campaign, then candidate Obama claimed that his relationship with ACORN consisted of successfully representing it as attorney in a lawsuit involving a motor voter law in which the (Clinton) Justice Department sided with ACORN.

The biased media reported that without bothering to expose it as a blatant lie.

In an earlier article, "ACORN and the Banks: Dangerous Liasons," Ms. MonCrief concluded: "...it seems that the stench of corruption rubs off on anyone [Bertha Lewis and ACORN] come in contact with. Are you paying attention Democrats?"

President Obama came "in contact" with ACORN many times over many years.

How much contact did President Obama really have with ACORN and what was the nature of the contact?

America should know.

And if the man won't even produce his birth certificate, he's not going to volunteer the whole story of his relationship with ACORN.

Ms. MonCrief wrote in Part II of her series: " While Obama is touting a $65 a month increase for America's workers, ACORN is priming the pump for federal 'black gold.' ACORN appears to be challenging Obama for their piece of the pie, either through the stimulus or the foreclosure package. Either way it is now up to the Administration to stand up to a bunch of thugs who are currently under criminal investigation in almost 15 states."

But if ACORN has its fingers around President Obama's throat (and Ms. MonCrief indicated that the question was how tightly those fingers were wrapped, now whether they were around President Obama's throat), is it realistic to expect President Obama "to stand up to" ACORN?

The answer is. "Of course not!"

The massive nearly trillion dollar spending bill that the Obama Administration misdescribed as a pork-free stimulus bill and the proposed Obama budget and tax policy show that President Obama is pursuing ACORN's wealth redistribution agenda assiduously and generously rewarding ACORN in preparation for future elections.
