First, let’s dispense with the false and foolish notion that US Democrat leadership in the country is not unpatriotic. Of course it is. And, as would stand to reason, Democrat leaders are also anti-American. In truth, they don’t like the United States at all—at least the traditional USA that has made it a unique magnet to the rest of the world’s people.
We already know a few of the usual Democrat suspects—Senators John Kerry (D-MA), Russ Feingold (D-WI), Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), DNC Chairman Howard Dean and Congressman John “Wacky Jack” Murtha (D-PA). However, in case a few recollections need to be tweaked—let’s take a walk down a recently refurbished memory lane. Shall we?
Going back a bit in time, before he was elected to one of the leftist Massachusetts Senate positions, John Kerry trashed US troops in front of a Senate committee. Note: Even then he was beginning his anti-US political career. In 1971, Kerry spoke of his fellow soldiers by falsely stating: “They [US soldiers] told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.” Then, continuing his theme that US soldiers “terrorize”, in 2005 Kerry commented on CBS’ Face the Nation: “There is no reason that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the—of the historical customs, religious customs.” Of course, Kerry never backed up his claims with anything even remotely resembling facts.
Note: Due to their incestuous relationship with the mainstream media, Democrats don’t have to use facts to support anything they say. Anti-American lies? You betcha’!
Personal Note: I view lies used in order to denigrate and break down the US Military as very unpatriotic.
Then there is Senator Russ “I wannabee the first real communist US president” Feingold, who (along with the patently anti-American and communist-founded ACLU) has repeatedly fought against any attempts to spy on terrorists—before they can attack us again. This attitude has nothing, whatsoever, to do with the Carter-established FISA court—a court that, by the way, is not allowed under the US Constitution to usurp Executive powers. Nevertheless, if a Republican president is in charge, Democrats have shown that they will affect anything and everything to overthrow these powers—and then reinstate them should a Democrat president be elected.
Not to be outdone by his colleagues, in December 2005 Sen. Harry Reid shouted gleefully, if not prematurely: “We [Democrats] killed the Patriot Act!” The Patriot Act, of course, is designed to protect US citizens—even Harry Reid—from terrorists. Ultimately, it has not yet been “defeated”.
Anti-war Rep. Jack Murtha is another story, altogether. Murtha, an ostensible former Marine (I use the word “ostensible” as he doesn’t sound like any Marine I’ve ever known), made inflammatory statements against US Marines. The statements surround the purported killings of Iraqi citizens by US marines in Haditha, Iraq. Murtha stated that the Marines had “killed innocent civilians in cold blood.” This time, however, at least one Marine, Staff Sgt. Frank D. Wuterich, isn’t taking Democrat slander lying down. Murtha is being charged, in a lawsuit filed against him by Wuterich, with libel, defamation of character and invasion of privacy. Murtha is, yet, another “trasher of US troops” who doesn’t seem to care what he says—as long as ‘Democrats get their power back’.
Little Howie Dean appears to hate everyone but, particularly Republicans. In January, Dean even said: “I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for!” He has also called upon Democrat leaders not to side with Republicans on anything. In other words, he is telling the Dem leadership to throw the American people to the wolves by not doing their jobs and ‘obstruct—obstruct—obstruct’!
On this same theme of obstruction, let’s add another player into the mix—House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). Pelosi, who told Time.online “I pride myself in being called a liberal” and “I don't consider myself a moderate”, has advised her Democrat colleagues not to work with Republicans on any bills. Of President Bush’s proposed Social Security reform bill, Time also reports: “Pelosi told House Democrats they could never beat him [Bush] in a straight-ahead, policy-against-policy debate…” and “so the Democrats would thunderously attack Bush and argue there was no Social Security crisis and therefore no need for them to put out their own proposal.” The attack on Social Security ensued, even though the Democrat leadership knew the crisis exists. It still does. But, this “leadership” also appears to believe the old adage “You can fool some of the people ALL of the time”. Then Pelosi also added a threat: "Anybody who's ever dealt with me knows not to mess with me!” Is it un-American and unpatriotic for Democrats to stop doing the work of the American people simply to regain power positions? Yes, it is. Pelosi’s command to her colleagues, to refuse to work with Republicans—on anything—effectively discounts and negates “we the people”.
The willingness of the “New all-leftist-all-the-time Democrat Party” to destroy the country and its people, in order for its political leaders to gain “power positions”, shows that the Democrats have not only established themselves as the US elitist political party but, have now shown themselves to be the ones that will shove their policies down the collective throat of the American people. The only thing we the people must ask ourselves is: “Will we allow these elites to get away with it?” At this point in time, it’s still our votes that will make the difference.
By the way, rumor has it that Ms. Pelosi is already picking out drapes and furniture for her new House Majority leadership office. November elections are coming fast folks. Please vote wisely.
