Leftist Hollywood Mouthpiece Belafonte Snarls Again
Showing yet again that there is not a leftist celebrity in the Hollywood Entertainment Industrial Complex who has any inkling as to the truth of actual history, aging one-time “entertainer” Harry Belafonte (again) spewed his venom against President Bush’s administration at Saturday’s Arts Presenters’ Members Conference. Making his spurious comments on the same day as terrorist leader Osama bin-Laden again threatened America, consistently anti-United States and anti-Bush Belafonte appeared to continue his life-long question: “Why couldn’t I have been Che Guevara?”
Following his recent (while he was in communist Hugo Chavez’ Venezuela) pro-communist and, apparently, pro-terrorist statement “[Bush is] the greatest terrorist in the world”, he told the Arts Conference audience: “We've come to this dark time in which the new Gestapo of Homeland Security lurks here, where citizens are having their rights suspended.” What??? Whose rights have been suspended, Mr. Belafonte? Are you referring to the “rights” of terrorists and terrorist supporters? The last time I checked the US Constitution, neither one of these groups have rights. However, I neither expect an answer to my question nor do I perceive Mr. Belafonte as actually having the innate or learned ability to discern the difference between rationality and foolishness. From what I have observed and heard, none of the elite Hollywood leftist crowd does.
Belafonte is another of those celebs who, while making millions of dollars in America and enjoying and utilizing its mandated “free speech”, now trashes it at each and every possible opportunity. Note: Mr. Belafonte, if our Homeland Security Department were actually “Gestapo-like”, as you firmly stated, you would now either be in some unknown prison or dead. Do you and your communist-leaning colleagues ever listen to your diatribe? Obviously not.
As Belafonte’s “career” has been virtually non-existent in recent years, I have to believe that this is his way of getting back into the limelight. As few people listen to calypso music anymore, perhaps he didn’t see another option. So, Belafonte is traveling (without any “Gestapo” restrictions I might add) to as many anti-US regimes, anti-American and anti-Bush US crowds as he is able, in order to spread his own deep-seated and abject hatred of all that is America and American.
Giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States has now become the leftists’ one and only cause and strategy, with overt treason as their new and expanding tactic. And Belafonte has unequivocally shown and proved, once again, that the more funds leftists have—the more enraged they become at their benefactor. Biting the hand that feeds is the leftist way. Isn’t it time that we stopped supporting them? Without all of that money, maybe they would be happier.
