COVID-19 Flu Did NOT Surpass the 1918-1919 Spanish Flu as Deadliest in US History The most lied-about influenza in history was no match for the deadliest influenza in US history.
In the fall of 2021, America's corrupt news media (more accurate: "noise media") ratcheted up their fear campaign that misled Americans by claiming COVID-19 was "the most deadly epidemic in history". Americans were told they needed to be inoculated with an experimental gene therapy termed a "vaccine" that arguably has caused more damage than it prevented!
Compare the death rate for COVID-19 with that of the Spanish Flu more than one hundred years ago, and the magnitude of the noise media's "big lie" becomes apparent.
In late 2021, network and cable noisecasters breathlessly trumpeted a claim that the COVID-19 epidemic had surpassed the Spanish Flu (of 1918-1919) as the "deadliest" epidemic in US history.
That would have been significant news… except for the teensy little detail that the claim was a complete fabrication.
The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe pandemic in recent history. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin. Although there is not universal consensus regarding where the virus originated, it spread worldwide during 1918-1919. In the United States, it was first identified in military personnel in spring 1918. It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States.
In 1918-1919, Spanish flu deaths were those where Spanish flu was the primary cause of death.
This death total is based on the absurd COVID-19 death guideline that counts every death where the deceased tested positive for COVID-19 within 28 days of death! Consequently, every death caused by cancer, heart disease, diabetes, fatal accidents, etc., was counted as a "COVID-19 death" if the patient tested COVID-19 positive during the four weeks prior to death! That is an asinine death standard. To add insult to injury, most of these tallies were based on a "positive" PCR test, a completely irresponsible use of the PCR researcher's tool. The PCR test is an inappropriate test for a case of disease because it cannot distinguish between an inert viral remnant and an active virus causing the patient to be diseased. Yet, CDC guidelines stated that all who tested positive using PCR should quarantine for 14 days! Why did the CDC egregiously mislead the American people? Why didn't the CDC use the same influenza death guideline used in 1918 and for every other viral influenza outbreak, that is, until COVID-19?

Using the CDC's absurd death guidelines, COVID-19 deaths as a portion of the population are still only a small fraction of the deaths caused by the Spanish Flu in 1918-1919.
To summarize:
CDC deliberately exaggerated the death count by using their absurd "COVID-19 death guideline" rather than the influenza death guideline used for every prior influenza outbreak. Instead of the roughly 677,099 deaths claimed by the CDC, the actual COVID-19 death count is much closer to 41,000 (but possibly as high as 81,000 in the worst case estimate).
Total deaths from all causes in the USA for years leading up to and through 2019 provide a basis for estimating the expected total deaths in the absence of COVID-19 during the years 2020 and 2021. The excess deaths over the "expected" (or typical) death count during 2020 and 2021 provides a reliable estimate for the actual COVID-19 deaths during 2020-2021. These figures are consistent with the lower estimates and grossly inconsistent with CDC's claimed 677,099 "COVID-19 deaths"!
Think about that. Why did the CDC deliberately deceive the public about the actual number of deaths caused by COVID-19? Why didn't network and cable noisecasters mention this egregious misconduct by the CDC?
Why are there no investigations of the use of PCR as a "test" for COVID-19 disease? It is plagued with false "positives" and is not a valid test for any viral disease (an oft-repeated observation by its inventor, the late Kary Mullis, PhD biochemist). PCR was developed as a research tool to track the provenance of newly discovered viruses, not to identify a "case" of any "disease". PCR is an invalid test for COVID-19 disease due to its many false "positives" that were indiscriminately counted as "new cases" courtesy of CDC's deceit during 2020 when they recommended an absurdly high cycle rate for PCR swab analysis (high cycle rates cause very high "false" positives). Why did the CDC deliberately deceive the public about testing and the actual number of real cases? Why aren't cable noisecasters mentioning this?
I suppose we ought to be understanding of network and cable noisecasters who have a collective IQ marginally higher than that of a rock. They tout total deaths from two different epidemics more than 100 years apart without regard to the significantly different size of the population from which those deaths occurred! They tout PCR-based "cases" as though they were real cases of COVID-19 disease. Only mental midgets could make such claims with a straight face, which might explain why they sit at a desk when delivering their noise.
