No, COVID-19 Flu Did NOT Surpass the 1918-1919 Spanish Flu as Deadliest in US History
Another claim from the noisemedia that reveals just how incompetent they are

The "noise" media made a big story of US COVID-19 deaths surpassing those of the Spanish Flu death toll (1918-1919). Only problem is, the noise, as usual, was grossly erroneous. But then, a compliant noise media, "owned" by the pharmaceutical industry, cannot be expected to be concerned with truth. They've never asked the CDC why they didn't use the influenza death guideline or why they use the inappropriate PCR test to count "cases."

Network noisecasters recently proclaimed that COVID-19 had surpassed the Spanish Flu (of 1918-1919) as the "deadliest" epidemic in US history.

That would be big news… except for the little detail that the claim is a flat-out lie.

Here are the facts:

1918-1919 Spanish Influenza.

From the CDC website:

The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe pandemic in recent history. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin. Although there is not universal consensus regarding where the virus originated, it spread worldwide during 1918-1919. In the United States, it was first identified in military personnel in spring 1918. It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States.
Deaths were determined using influenza death guidelines.

The 1918-19 US population: ~104,000,000

Spanish Influenza US Population Death Rate: 6.49% (a 93.51% survival rate)

2019-2021 COVID-19 Influenza.

From the current JHU COVID-19 Dashboard (based on CDC data):

Current deaths: 677,099

This death total is based on the CDC's contrived highly exaggerated COVID-19 death guideline that includes deaths due to cancer, heart disease, diabetes, fatal accidents, etc., so long as the deceased tested positive for COVID-19 within 28 days of death. That is an asinine death standard. Why not use the influenza death guideline? (Ans: Because it wouldn't look nearly as bad)

Estimated deaths using influenza death guidelines (average of estimates, 6% to 12% of CDC's "death" total): ~81,000 (using ~12%)

The 2019-2021 US population: ~331,000,000

COVID-19 Influenza US Population Death Rate: 0.205% (a 99.795% survival rate)

COVID-19 Influenza US Population Death Rate (influenza death guidelines, avg. estimate): 0.0245% (a 99.9755% survival rate)

Comparison of Spanish Flu deaths with COVID-19 deaths (using insane COVID-19 death guidelines):

The Spanish Flu was 31.66 times MORE deadly

Comparison of Spanish Flu deaths with COVID-19 deaths (using influenza death guideline average estimates):

The Spanish Flu was 264.90 times MORE deadly

Using the CDC's concocted absurd death guidelines, COVID-19 deaths as a portion of the population are still only a small fraction of the Spanish Flu's deaths.

To summarize:

CDC deliberately exaggerates the death count by using their concocted "COVID-19 death guideline" rather than the influenza death guideline used for every other influenza outbreak. Instead of the roughly 677,099 deaths claimed by the CDC, the actual count is much closer to 41,000 and possibly as high as 81,000.

Check the total deaths in the USA for each year leading up to 2021. The excess deaths from 2019 to 2021 are consistent with the lower figures and grossly inconsistent with CDC's claimed 677,099. Think about that. Why is the CDC deceiving the public about the actual number of deaths caused by COVID-19? Why aren't cable noisecasters mentioning this?

Why are there no investigations of the use if PCR as a "test" for COVID-19? It is known to be plagued with false "positives" and is not a valid test for any disease (an oft-repeated comment of its inventor, the late Kary Mullis, PhD). PCR is an invalid test for COVID-19 and its many false "positives" are counted as "new cases" thanks to the CDC's deceit during 2020 when they recommended an absurdly high cycle rate (45) during analysis of swabs… high cycle rates cause very high "false" positives. Why is the CDC deceiving the public about testing and the actual number of real cases? Why aren't cable noisecasters mentioning this?

But then we have to be understanding with cable network noisecasters who have a collective IQ marginally higher than that of a rock. They tout total deaths without regard to the size of the population from which those deaths occurred. They tout PCR-based "cases" as though they were real cases. Only ignorant mental midgets could make such claims with a straight face. No wonder they sit behind a desk to report the daily noise.

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
