An Open Letter To Attorney General Jeff Sessions

Attorney General Sessions' failure to honorably inform President Trump he would have to recuse himself if offered his current job has led to the greatest blight on the American judicial system since the founding of this Republic. That one man could put his personal ambition ahead of the best interests of this nation is unconscionable and needs to be corrected without delay.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions:

Please do the honorable thing and RESIGN IMMEDIATELY!

It was dishonorable of you to accept the President's offer of the position of Attorney General without notifying him of your exposure to a recusal request relating to a fabricated "investigation" of an unspecified crime for which there is no evidence.

Your poor judgment has single-handedly undermined the initiatives of the very man you supported during the campaign.

You have failed to assure your department acts within the law and under our Constitution.

You have failed to assure timely deliverance of materials requested by Congress during the course of their oversight responsibilities.

Your recusal facilitates the current travesty of justice by Mr. Rosenstein and the Special Counsel and is evidently preventing you from taking the action needed to end a corrupt investigation of an unspecified crime for which no credible evidence exists!

No legitimate judicial purpose is served by government investigators conducting "witch hunts" that violate Fourth Amendment rights and illegally seize information with which they hope to blackmail individuals in order to obtain testimony to the existence of a crime for which they had no prior credible knowledge and for which they have no evidence.

It is indeed telling how swiftly the agents of your Department can move when it is perceived to be in their interests, yet they take more than a year to produce documents for Congress that were readily avialble to your Inspector General. That is disgraceful and it is your incompetence that enables this lawless activity to continue.

That you would allow your personal ambition to be a roadblock to the will of the electorate and severely and adversely impact the Trump administration is an affront to the People and an egregious violation of your oath of office and your obligation to our President and our nation and reflects poorly on your own judgment.

If I were President, I'd fire you in a heartbeat!

You would do well to resign and announce your candidacy for the Senate seat you formerly held. That course might salvage some dignity for you personally and it would allow an Attorney General to be appointed who would put a stop to the travesty currently infecting the entire Department of Justice.

Failure to pursue a course that corrects the terrible damage you've done will allow the cancer you've brought to the Department of Justice to continue growing.

The cancerous Mueller "investigation" in search of evidence of a crime that cannot be identified is beyond any bounds of "fair play" and our Fourth Amendment guarantees and it has got to stop NOW and, at the moment, YOU are the one who is in the best position to stop it!

Please save what little honor and reputation you might still retain and resign with dignity. If not, before this year is out you will likely (and should) be fired in disgraced infamy.

This country cannot be allowed to be taken apart by the avaricious desires of a single self-centered individual who put his personal ambition ahead of his duty to his President, his own honor, and his country!

Most sincerely,

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
