American News Media's Appalling Embargo of Bengahzi-Gate Scandal

After several days of significant breaking news about Bengahzi-Gate, US news media still cannot find any time to cover the story. Most US news agencies have embargoed any bad news associated with President Obama's bizarre handling of the attack on the US consular compound in Bengahzi, Libya.

Let's stop beating around the bush, pretending there might be a legitimate excuse for the Obama administration's deplorable handling of the terrorist attack on our consular compound in Benghazi, Libya.

And let's also stop pretending there is any legitimate excuse for The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other major liberal newspapers, in concert with broadcast network news outlets (ABC, CBS, NBC) and major news reporting groups (AP, Reuters) embargoing all breaking news relating to the Obama administration's denial of military help that would likely have prevented at least two, if not all four, of the American deaths in Libya and then engaging in a cover-up to try to skate out the issue until after the election.

Except for reporting by FOX News and talk radio, these facts are known and are not being reported to the American public:

  1. The White House knew there had been two prior attacks earlier this year on the US consular compound in Benghazi.

  2. The White House knew every other nation had removed their diplomatic representatives from Libya due to the increased threats to their security.

  3. The White House knew Ambassador Stevens had urged increased security at the compound, fearing for the safety of consular personnel.

  4. The White House failed to order beefed up security in Libya and other US installations in destabilized North Africa and the Middle East, foolishly exposing US personnel and diplomats to increased danger as the anniversary of 9/11/01 approached.

  5. The White House knew within hours that the terrorist attack on our consular compound in Benghazi, Libya, was associated with the anniversary of 9/11/01, and had nothing to do with a YouTube video.

  6. The White House knew from desperate pleas for assistance in messages sent directly from those under attack to the White House and State Department that the lives of those on the ground were in severe jeopardy.

  7. The White House knew there were trained US military personnel less than 500 miles away with standing orders to intervene in these situations and who would be preparing to deploy for a rescue mission.

  8. The White House knew armed drones were in the air over the attack site providing real-time video and which could be used to take out a terrorist mortar site that was being laser-designated by a security officer inside the compound. Because no action was taken against that mortar site, it was eventually responsible for two of the American deaths, fatalities that could have been avoided had the President not issued a "stand down" order.

  9. The White House, despite knowing lives were at stake, issued a bizarre "stand down" order to military forces in Italy, those controlling the armed drones, and on-site security personnel working for the CIA, directing them not to render assistance to those under attack!

  10. The White House knew within hours of it's being launched that the attack was not associated with any spontaneous protest over a YouTube video. Yet President Obama five days later sent his UN Ambassador to speak on five major news programs, claiming the best information available was that the attack was a spontaneous protest over a YouTube video. Even President Obama himself, two weeks after the attack, knowingly and falsely claimed no less than six times in his address to the UN General Assembly that the attack was motivated by a YouTube video!

  11. The White House continues to avoid tough questions by failing to hold a news conference on this or any other subject.

  12. President Obama does not need any investigations to be completed to talk to the American people and tell them what he knew, when he knew it, and what his actions were that fateful day of the terrorist attack in Benghazi.

Evidence in reference 1 (see References in Notes below) reveals both a timeline (beginning in July) and the extent of communication between the White House and the Muslim Brotherhood that helped established a fabrication about the YouTube video in advance of the attack on the Benghazi consular compound. I strongly urge readers who believe the YouTube story to download and read this 23-page document.

While the Obama administration continues to stonewall this issue by failing to hold a news conference to give a status of what he knew, when he knew it, and what actions he took, congressional investigators are trying to clear the smokescreen being created by the White House. The administration is being completely uncooperative to the extent that they are actively blocking access by congressional investigators to videos taken by the drones used to monitor the attack in real time. Meanwhile, the duplicitous US news media (aside from FOX News and one brave NBC reporter) continue to support the administration's coverup by embargoing news of any new developments that reveal the bizarre actions of President Obama before, during and after the attack.

Watch the lone, brave, NBC reporter ask President Obama direct questions about which the President must know the answers and then watch the President dodge the question, failing to provide any meaningful response:

Note that the NBC reporter's questions were direct, to the point, and required only 13 seconds to ask. In contrast, Obama's answer was non-responsive, dodged the questions, required 88 seconds, and, quite frankly, were nothing more than a pile of what Obama has accused Romney of shoveling ("BS" for those who aren't paying attention)!

Initially, the White House tried to blame the intelligence community for the story that the attack was a spontaneous protest over a YouTube video. We now know that that story was a complete fabrication.

The CIA categorically denied they issued any "stand down" order and, in any event, the CIA has no authority to order US military forces to "stand down" from standing orders that direct them to intervene to save American lives threatened by such acts as the terrorist attack on our consular compound in Libya. Only the White House has the authority to order military forces to "stand down". Our forces were ordered to "stand down" (you don't have to be an artist to draw your own conclusion).

Other than FOX News, mainline American news media, with very few exceptions, are committing acts of treason by ignoring this major news story simply because it reveals a massive weakness of the Obama administration and the same media are doing whatever they can to manipulate news to try to assure an Obama victory in upcoming elections.

All one needs do is imagine how different the media would have handled this issue if it had happened under George Bush.

Both Obama and the owners of the duplicitous US news media need to be held accountable by the American people.

We can deal with Obama on November 6.

But how will we handle the despicable news media's embargo of critical information, an act that interfere's with the people's right to know about this massive failure of President Obama's before the November 6 election?

I urge readers to examine each of the referenced articles in the "Notes" section below.

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
