A Nation of Fools?
A European's View of the United States

Obama supporters are quick to claim he has repaired the U.S. image abroad. There are many in the U.S. and abroad who disagree on very sound grounds.

One wonders just what kind of mental process is needed to conclude that Obama's performance in flying around the world apologizing for America's strength represents anything more than buffoonery that costs us dearly in terms of lost respect for the United States. Yet in holding up Obama's dismal failures dealing with foreign leaders as "successes", his supporters serve only to underscore just how little they understand foreign relations and how much a neophyte Obama has proven to be.

Following is a very revealing summation by a European (by way of the Czech Republic, author unknown):

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails them. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

The author of that statement hits the nail squarely on its head!

Obama supporters are either dedicated Progressivists-Collectivists-Marxists who despise the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America (because they despise freedom), or they are Liberal-Moderate pseudo-intellectuals whose capacity to think is vastly overwhelmed by their capacity to be duped and parrot nonsense.

One has to admit there is a very real problem with an electorate that would entrust the U.S. Presidency with someone:

  • Who blocks efforts to provide conclusive proof he possesses the citizenship qualifying him to be President,
  • Whose education background cannot be verified as legitimate because he has stonewalled all efforts to have relevant records made public,
  • Who has never held a meaningful private sector job,
  • Who is hostile to U.S. history and original Constitutional dictates,
  • Who had to resign from the Illinois bar to avoid disbarment for falsifying information,
  • Who has greater regard for the preachings of Marx and Saul Alinsky than he does for our Founders (Jefferson, Adams, etc.),
  • Who has declared war against economic freedom (capitalism),
  • Who has declared war against American culture,
  • Who believes U.S. citizens can be compelled to do things "for their own good",
  • Who believes the myth of human-caused climate change,
  • Who is willing to "skyrocket" (his word) energy and fuel prices by declaring war on fossil fuels (the most abundant and cheapest source of energy we have).
It is no help that we have to suffer a propaganda network feeding us "news" that glorifies Obama and ignores his massive spending, his responsibility for continuing massive unemployment, his short-sighted efforts to attack the very source of jobs (American business), his continuing efforts to chip away at personal freedom, and his willingness to drag down the living standard of the United States as a "fair" compensation for our past worldwide economic dominance.

Between extremely biased "news" and an education system that denigrates American culture and our traditional values of freedom, individual responsibility and property ownership rights, while it praises multiculturalism, ridicules traditional American values, and glorifies socialism, it is no wonder the U.S. electorate are incapable of making intelligent decisions at election time.

Are we going to allow these travesties of "news" and "education" to continue to drag our nation into the gutter of mediocrity? Or will citizens open their eyes, awaken to the monster that we have created within our borders, and take action? Will informed citizens speak out against the massive Leftist propaganda that consistently dominates news and education? Will good people sit idly by and watch the demise of this great nation, or will they take all necessary action to restore our once-great Constitutional Republic?

The elections this coming November offer an opportunity to take a significant step in the right direction. But electoral success will not solve the underlying problem underscored by the European comment quoted above. Those who believe in personal responsibility, liberty, and adherence to our fundamental Constitutional restraints on government must continue to work at local and state levels to remove all inappropriate teachers/professors and their Marxist-oriented teaching materials from our society. It is one thing to teach about Marxism and Fascism to inform people of their dangers. It is quite another to teach and glorify these despicable anti-human philosophical monstrosities!

There is a LOT of very hard work ahead to save this country. But failure to take the challenge is failure to uphold everything our Founders sacrificed for and the many sacrifices since then in support of freedom and individual responsibility and self-determination across the globe.

November will only be step one of many, many difficult steps we must take.

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
