Lying is a "Risky Scheme"
Democrats assault on common sense will cost them dearly.

Remember the Democrat mantra of "risky scheme" that greeted any attempt by the Bush administration to allow any portion of workers the opportunity to invest even a tiny portion of their FICA taxes (social security) in the securities market? Remember how their faithful friends at NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and other loyal media outlets repeated the mantra until we were sick of hearing it?

No matter that their on late Sen. Patrick Moynihan was one of the earliest proponents of saving the financially unsupportable social security system from eventual collapse by allowing some workers to invest a portion of their FICA taxes in the security market. Reason never prevails when Leftists are at work. The modern Leftist Democrat Party leaders have routinely and relentlessly demonized any attempt at sane reform of the social security system (after all, they aren't covered, so what do they care whether it collapses at some future date?).

Let's consider what today's situation would be had the nation the sense to elect reformers (both Republican and Democrat) who rejected the knee-jerk reactionism of today's Leftist Democrat leaders. At the end of March 2003, the DOW Industrial average stood at 7982. Had a plan been enacted that would have allowed workers to freely invest a portion of their FICA taxes in the securities market, those workers today would have seen their investment on that day increase by a whopping 67.4%, an increase of more than two-thirds!

Evidently, Democrats consider it a "risky scheme" when workers are liberated from the enslaving programs that Democrats have so carefully constructed for the sole purpose of retaining political power. Perhaps we need more of such "risky schemes" to help liberate the American worker from the false prophecies of Leftist Democrats.

Since FDR, Democrats have realized that they can fool many average Americans into believing that Republicans care only about business and it's only Democrats who care about the average workers. Of course we now know that such nonsense is defied by historical reality. Democrats are only concerned about buying votes at any cost. If the cost of buying votes is lying to the people and scaring them about social security, health care, and climate change - that's exactly what Democrats will do.

So our government spends countless billions on programs that are either best left to the private sector or simply not workable. All because we have a media that is little more than an apparatus of the Democrat propaganda machine. There is little chance that the American education system will help the truth surface because teacher unions have allied with the Leftist Democrat organization to miseducate students so that they believe the pure fiction promoted by Leftist Democrats.

Yet, to the dismay of these Leftists, people have a fundamental common sense and ability to reason that will overcome these crude attempts at manipulation by the small band of Leftists who would seize power in Washington by underhanded means. When the truth shines brightly on Democrat lies, the people will see what course to take.

It will not be a course that pleases Leftist Democrats.

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
