The GAO found that DOE over the past decade did not follow its own guidance for assessing the technical quality of two market impact studies conducted for DOE; has not developed guidance for valuing a portion of its uranium inventory, despite commercial interest in its purchase; and, in some cases has violated federal law with its transfers.
