New Jersey forced ballot Mail in leave voters out. Bulk scanning is not working. Manual scan is not anonymous and subject to corruption. BTW Did you see the ballot initiatives?
Neither did I. They were printed on the BACK of the ballot. Completely different from what we are all used to and with no indication to fill out the front and BACK. I am willing to bet that a significant amount of people were denied the right to vote on these initiatives by this poor design. But wait there is more voter suppression.
In the northern county of Bergen the bulk scanning system did not work and is still down. It took almost two weeks for them to begin the first scanning phase of the outside of the ballot envelope manually one at a time so they could notify that the ballot was received.
No inner envelope votes though will be scanned or will be counted until Nov 3rd. If the scanning of votes is done one at a time Imagine the cost and time for manual labor. Not to mention that a person who scans the ballots one at at time, can see how the person voted and then discard the ballots marked against their choice of candidate.
