The Democrat's Slow-Bleed Plan To Ensure Our Troops Can't Win

Democrats are overreaching. If they think that they were voted into office to force the president to cut and run from Iraq, they misunderstood the people who put them into office. Americans, for the most part, do not want our troops pulled out of Iraq. They want our troops to win.

A CBS Poll shows that fifty percent of Americans say they want us to succeed in Iraq.

Unfortunately, the party in power in Congress will continue to try to manipulate us and force their will on America unless we stop them. We need to be more proactive. Call and e-mail your senators and representatives until they get the message straight. We want to win in Iraq.

Democrats openly display their lack of good sense and patriotism. It is no surprise that they continually try to pull the rug from under the president while we are at war with terrorists. President Bush is Commander-In-Chief. The Democrats are not. They and their cohort media have tried to undermine the president for six years. They project a defeatist mentality to us and the rest of the world.

This administration is determined and dedicated to completing the job in Iraq. Republicans remember those purple-inked fingers the determined Iraqi people held up with pride on their election day.

Several weeks ago the president announced his well thought-out plan and new strategy. It looks as though the new strategy is working. However, that is not what we hear on the biased media every evening.

It may be hard to believe that there are many in the media and in high political places who want America to lose – but it’s true. They are motivated by power. They are pandering demagogues who will do and say anything to get into office.

These political ideologues deliberately refuse to make the connection with Iraq and the War on Terror. When they spew their negative defeatism, there is a noticeable spike of terror attacks in Iraq. The violence brought about by loose lips makes our troops’ job much more difficult. The Democrats do not care what havoc they wreak when they pass resolutions of traitorous political psychobabble. They do not care that they embolden our enemies.

Many people agree with Vice President Dick Cheney's words: "I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the Al-Qaeda strategy. The Al-Qaeda strategy is to break the will of the American people while trying to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit."

What was Pelosi's response to the Vice President's remarks? "Cheney's criticism of Democrats was beneath the dignity of the debate we're engaged in and a disservice to our men and women in uniform, whom we all support."

Speaking of “beneath dignity”, Speaker Nancy Pelosi's verbiage of indignation is nothing less than a pile of cultivatable horse manure. Her words speak volumes about her policies regarding a new democracy in the Middle East called Iraq.

This week the UK announced that they will be withdrawing troops as the Iraqis begin to stand up and protect their own country. This is a good sign. The Iraqi government is moving forward by taking on the responsibility of protecting their country.

Muqtada Al-Sadr has fled Iraq to Iran. The Mahdi army he left behind in Baghdad is concerned about how long their leader will remain in hiding. Meanwhile Democrats are doing all they can to cut the president at his knees. Murtha likes to coin his idea as a "slow bleed" by cutting the funds our troops need to do their job in Iraq.

Murtha should have stepped down from politics a long time ago. Wanting to sabotage the president's new strategy in Iraq because it just might work makes him unfit to serve our country or discuss matters that concern our awesomely brave troops. The Democrats’ plans for next year's presidential election will suffer if the new strategy succeeds. However, Pelosi put Murtha in charge of the powerful Defense Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee.

Excerpts from The Politico website:

Pelosi and her ilk do not give one companionate concern for the safety of the Iraqi people. If she did, she would support our president and our troops. Instead, she gives us lip service and photo ops from Iraq. Democrats do not care that there will be a blood bath if America is forced to pull out ahead of time. They are intent upon cutting off the money for funding our troops. The cowards want to cut and run.

There is only one solution. While the far Left is in charge, we cannot allow Democrats the power to run this country. They simply are not capable of doing the job when it comes to the defense and protection of our country from terrorism. Remember that when you think to sitting out the election in 2008.
