Know Thine Enemy
Part 1 of 3

At first blush this would be a simple statement requiring nothing more than an alertness to one's surroundings and a motivation to vigilance at the top level of consciousness.

In the Spanish-American war we thought that the enemy was Spain. Instead it was in our own backyard led by newspaper moguls Hearst and Pulitzer with their infamous lies and fabrications. A trait which is still an honored legacy by our own fourth estate. In both world wars the enemy was plainly in view and within our cross hairs. The two wars where we didn't have to keep looking over our shoulder. However, in Vietnam and Korea there was doubt regarding which was the deadliest enemy since he was professed as being both abroad and here. In Afghanistan and the two Iraqui wars it became evident again that although we did have an enemy in far places there was still a formidable one hiding in our midst. In Norway and in France the Quislings and the Vichy were easily definable and tractable but in the United States our fifth column was and is a traitorous entity. Still attacking and still hiding behind our Constitution.

The sixties was a telling decade for us since it spawned three decades of malcontents whose principle aim was to alter our society from a Republic to a Socialist/Communist Ism. It began by taking control of what was once the Democrat party. A coup d'etat which to this day is still unrecognized by the American people. A party in shambles when it lost its stranglehold on the Congress to the Republicans.. By piggy backing on and infiltrating the alphabet soup agencies begun by Roosevelt it has been able to legitimize the repressive laws which have become more and more oppressive. The process has been incremental. The side effects went from sensitivity training, to multiculturism, to affirmative action, to diversity and now to political correctness. They expect to win this country by words, thoughts and ideas. For these are the concepts which have consequences. The latest in their long line of tools is Political Correctness.

The leftists initiated a master stroke when they could no longer control the legislature. They then moved to control the judiciary. A discipline which today no longer honors our Constitution. Without the armor of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights we have fallen prey to political correctness and all the evils which it embodies.

In an Accuracy in Academia address, Bill Lind justifiably stated "that for the first time in our history Americans have to be fearful of what they say, what they write, and of what they think."

They have infiltrated every facet of our society from communication to education to entertainment to commerce and to our very Congress. The takeover of the field of education by their progressives was a key strategy and a cornerstone in defining for our children the type of education they were to receive. The spewing forth of children, in the last two generations, who cannot read nor write nor do simple arithmetic has indicated an education system rife with gross incompetence. The graduating of children who are unaware of either simple geography, ancient or American history would point to a systemic methodology whose aim is to denigrate and eventually overthrow our free enterprise and capitalistic form of government. The halls of learning have been downgraded to Citadels of suppression and the repressive agents of free thought. There are those in the education system who would prefer to speak out but cannot for fear of reprisal. Thus enters the sin of omission.

The expected results are showing today when you find that approximately 40% of the population still believe that there is a democrat party and still idolize people of the caliber of a Bill Clinton who to this day roams the planet telling the world that the wars are all our fault.

Political Correctness is a bullet aimed at the very heart of our mores, our culture, our traditional values. Political Correctness is a buzz phrase to hide the goals of the leftist historians and educators in indoctrinating another generation of students with the intent to procreate and build a new radical society. Political Correctness can be likened to Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal. You are made to feel that this is your salvation while the hand is being dealt from the bottom of the deck. Political correctness is in a sense intellectual segregation. It has been successful in stripping to the side all facets of common sense, moral values, and the rule of law. It has so far been quite successful in altering the meaning of words and in attacking the justification of many of our traditional institutions. It is a bullet aimed at the heart of America. It is the brain child of the same people who were on the side of the North Vietnamese and North Koreans when we were at war and who are siding today with the terrorists whose guns and bombs are aimed at our soldiers. And yet, at this very moment, none dare call it treason.

Our freedoms are being repressed and our way of life as Americans is being drastically altered. To start with, our vocabulary is undergoing subtle alterations. Take a look. One must no longer call them terrorists, they are insurgents. Prisoners are detainees. A deaf person is "a person with a hearing impairment". A disabled person is "a person with a disability." Blind people must be termed as persons with visual impairment." American Indians must be referred to as native Americans. A tribe must be referred to as a culture. The negro has upped his status from black to African American. A refugee is now an evacuee.

And out there in the "free" world we find that smokers can only smoke in a controlled environment which is gradually diminishing. Women cannot wear their perfume under certain conditions. Fifty people cannot have peanut butter because one individual is allergic. The EPA is competing with the IRS to see which can do the most bleeding and/or control of our lives. We are now cajoled as to what to eat, how much to eat and when to eat it. Sports teams must dispense with such demeaning names as Tribe, Braves, Aztecs, and Redskins. Colts and Lions will be next. The YMCA was pressured to either abdicate its Indian Guide program or change the name. A program begun by an Indian. The Boys Scouts are under fire to allow girls into the membership and homosexuals as scout leaders. We must now adhere to a multi-language society in order to appease the aliens who choose not to learn our language. The ownership of private property has never been as much under attack as it is now with the Supreme Court ruling strengthening government power of eminent domain. This strikes at the very heart of American freedom and citizen civil rights more profoundly than at any time in our history. So where is the outcry.

PC is subverting and inverting the core values of all that we hold dear as Americans. PC is giving more rights to the jailed terrorists than to our own soldiers in the field. PC on the battlefield is letting the enemy shoot first. PC has been our deadliest enemy in the Afghan-Iraq wars. PC means allowing your children to go to school in pajamas. PC is allowing a child to believe that 2 + 2 = 5 in order to protect its self-esteem. PC is the commodity used to program a determination in the way we talk, the way we act, the way we write, in what we say and how we say it.

It is time to draw that line in the sand. By doing so we can then depend on the American History of the future to refer to political correctness as having entered our lives with a flourish and gone out with a flush. It all starts with knowing thine enemy.
