Marco Rubio: Ridiculous Robot and Dangerous "Rule or Ruin" Republican
If "rule or ruin" Robot Rubio can't be the Republicans' Hispanic savior in 2016, he's determined to make sure Trump doesn't win and aiming for 2020.
Donald Trump is self-financing his presidential campaign. He has been a public figure for many years and has grown wiser with experience. He's a citizen who has had an enormously (dare I say hugely?) successful business career who decided to run for President because he sees an increasingly critical need for change after President Obama's "fundamental transformation." He believes he is more likely to effect that change as an outsider than a traditional politician and that makes sense. He definitely is not a puppet with strings being pulled by a puppet master or a robot being programmed by a programmer.
The same can't be said about the overweeningly ambitious but inadequately prepared political opportunist that is rookie United States Senator Marco Rubio.
Sadly, it has become crystal clear that Rubio is shamelessly and stupidly hellbent on becoming President of the United States to top off his meteoric political career.
Alas, Rubio is not another Teddy Roosevelt or John F. Kennedy, neither of whom ran for President as a rookie United States Senator.
Rubio received his law decree from the University of Miami Law School in 1996. He was elected a city commissioner for west Miami in 1998 and a member of the Florida House of Representatives in 2000, He was appointed a majority whip in 2000 and majority leader in 2002. He became Speaker of that House in 2006 and won a three-way race for a United States Senate seat in 2010, with the support of Tea Partiers by opposing citizenship for illegal aliens. He didn't run for President in 2012, but the year after President Obama was elected he flipped on citizenship for illegal aliens and joined the United States Senate's Gang of Eight to promote a "comprehensive immigration plan" that passed the United State Senate but failed in the United States House of Representatives. Then Rubio decided to run for President and flipped back on a pathway to citizenship (much like Dennis Kucinich became pro-abortion when he developed national political aspirations).
Now Floridians apparently don't trust Rubio. Polls have consistently shown him being bested by Trump by substantial margins.
Rubio was born in the United States (in Miami, Florida), although not to United States citizens then, but birthright citizenship makes him eligible to be President of the United States. (Sorry, Ted Cruz, but your mother should have delivered you on the other side of the US-Canadian border to make you eligible and instead she made you eligible to be the Prime Minister of Canada.)
Although eligible, Rubio has yet to win a state and doesn't appear likely to do so on Super Tuesday or even after, not even his home state.
Desperate (Rubio will lose his Senate seat when the next Congress convenes), Rubio suddenly switched personalities to become an impudent and crude attack dog.
It won't win him a vice presidential nomination.
A little terrier is amusing, not presidential.
Rubio's personality switch is as shockingly disturbing and unprincipled as his flip flops on citizenship for illegal aliens.
It's not going to help Rubio, but the Clintons have to be delighted.

"Rule or ruin" doesn't work out well.
As Abraham Lincoln explained in his Cooper Union Address in 1860:
"Human action can be modified to some extent, but human nature cannot be changed. There is a judgment and a feeling against slavery in this nation, which cast at least a million and a half of votes. You cannot destroy that judgment and feeling - that sentiment - by breaking up the political organization which rallies around it. You can scarcely scatter and disperse an army which has been formed into order in the face of your heaviest fire; but if you could, how much would you gain by forcing the sentiment which created it out of the peaceful channel of the ballot-box, into some other channel?
"When you make these declarations, you have a specific and well-understood allusion to an assumed Constitutional right of yours, to take slaves into the federal territories, and to hold them there as property. But no such right is specifically written in the Constitution. That instrument is literally silent about any such right. We, on the contrary, deny that such a right has any existence in the Constitution, even by implication.
"Your purpose, then, plainly stated, is that you will destroy the Government, unless you be allowed to construe and enforce the Constitution as you please, on all points in dispute between you and us. You will rule or ruin in all events.
A "rule or ruin" Republican like Robot Rubio can create disaster just like those "rule or ruin" Democrats did in 1860.
Whether Rubio is programming himself or being programmed by others would be nice to know, but it is a detail. What is important is that he chose a course that may lead to disaster for the United States and will not win him the Presidency ever, even if he becomes another Harold Stassen and routinely runs.
