Proud Papa Pastor on "Giles/O'Keefe Caper"...and More

By exposing ACORN criminality, Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe have given ACORN, Obama and Far Left Dems including President Obama great grief and set the stage for exposing the POLITICAL corruption, the greatest candal that put Barack Obama in the White House and Far Left Democrats in control of Congress.

From www.rnla.com: "RNLA Chairman David Norcross Appears on Glenn Beck Program: On July 1, RNLA Chairman David Norcross appeared on the Glenn Beck Program and discussed ACORN, its role in the Minnesota Senate Race, and RNLA's comprehensive efforts to expose the truth on the organization's activities."

Republican National Lawyers Association Chairman Norcross said, referring to ACORN: "...I am confident we'll bring 'em down."

It seemed to me to be the justified confidence of a knowledgeable lawyer, not mere wishful thing.

Notice at end of Townhall columnist Doug Giles' latest article (September 19, 2009): "Doug Giles’ new book 'A Time to Clash: Papers from a Provocative Pastor”' is now available. Ann Coulter says 'Doug Giles’ A Time to Clash is a substantive and funny tour de force for traditional values.' Doug’s award winning talk show and video blog can be seen and heard at www.ClashRadio.com."

In an August 29, 2009 article titled "Glenn Beck Has Brass Gonads," Doug Giles extolled Glenn Beck for a "great job" and "formally join[ing] Rush {Limbaugh] as an Official Pain in Barack Obama’s Backside (OPIBOB)."

Who is Doug Giles?

His biography at Townhall states:

"Doug Giles is the creator and host of 'The Clash' radio shows, winners of seven Silver Microphone Awards and two Communicator Awards in the last three years.

"In addition, Doug is a popular columnist, minister and award-winning writer. His articles have been taken up by several other print and hundreds of online news sources and he is an irregular guest on both major television and radio news programs across the nation.

"Giles has also spawned ClashTV, which features Doug's cultural commentary put to film. This can be seen on NRB TV, DirectTV Channel 378 and online at www.ClashRadio.com.

"Giles earned the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Texas Tech University and stud[ied] Christianity and Culture at Knox Theological Seminary.

"He’s the author of three books, Ruling in Babylon: Seven Habits of Highly Effective Twentysomethings (2003); Political Twerps, Cultural Jerks, Church Quirks (2004); The Bulldog Attitude: Get It or Get Left Behind (2006). His most recent book will be released in June 2007, 10 Habits of Decidedly Defective People: The Successful Loser’s Guide to Life; Regal Press.

"His other interests include big game hunting and fishing for monster sharks. Giles is also an accomplished artist. His works may be seen online at www.DougGilesArt.com.

"Giles has been married for 18 years to Mary Margaret Raia, and they have two teenage daughters."

Note to Pastor Giles: update that biography. That "10 Habits" book was released, there's an Ann Coulter-approved new book to add, your older daughter is 20 and you've been married more than 18 years.

Pastor Giles' first article on the videotapes exposing ACORN--"Exposed! ACORN Gets Its Nuts Cracked: Teenage Prostitutes, Money Laundering and Tax Fraud" (September 10, 2009)--is most notable for what he omitted.

Pastor Giles exalted: "In an espionage adventure that James Bond and Simon Templar would be proud of, two young filmmakers posed as civilians wanting to run a house of prostitution and infiltrated ACORN with video cameras rolling and found the nutty ACORN employees absolutely giddy about helping the characters with the following...."

But Pastor Giles did not identify the younger filmmaker as his daughter Hannah.

It was NOT because he was not proud of her!

In his latest article. "No, It Wasn’t My Idea for Hannah Giles to Dress Like a Hooker and Infiltrate ACORN," Pastor Giles proudly addressed "the 'facts' of the Giles/O'Keefe ACORN caper," as follows:

"It’s been quite interesting watching and reading the statements coming from ACORN and various 'news' organizations about the 'facts' of the Giles/O’Keefe ACORN caper. Here’s a little sample of what they have been saying about the two evil citizen journalists, Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe, the ones who picked on poor, poor, poor, old ACORN.

"Check it out, the truth according to nutty ACORN (and what really happened):

1. Giles’ and O’Keefe’s timeframe for filming. Bertha Lewis and others have stated that Hannah and James spent many months visiting scores of ACORN centers to get these few videos. One wizard said Hannah and James had been doing this since 2005, which would have made Hannah, oh, let’s see, about 14 or 15. Hello! I’m a cool dad—but not that cool.

I guess Bertha could be right about the time Giles and O’Keefe invested in the ACORN sting op if she counts her days in dog years. If that’s how she rolls then she’s spot-on with the 'many months' statement. By the way, if that’s true, this November I’ll be 329 years old. Happy birthday to me! I think I’ll get another gun! I’m diggin’ on the S&W .500 magnum. She’s purty.

The truth of the matter, from a timeline standpoint, is that they hatched their plan in May of ’09, fine-tuned it from May 20th – July 23rd, and then launched July 24th, fully accomplishing their mission by the end of August. And that’s a fact to all those for whom facts still matter.

"2. Giles’ and O’Keefe’s mission failed in many locations. Bertha and her buddies say with vigor and Reverend Wright unction that Giles and O’Keefe tried this trick in hundreds of locations without success. Marc Lamont Hill was on O’Reilly’s show this past week parroting the same smack. I heard one lunatic say they visited thousands of centers nationwide (there are under 200. Oops). Hey, guys: Why stop at hundreds and thousands? Why not say gazillions or quadrillions of ACORN centers?! Go Dr. Evil with the numbers. The truth of the matter happens to be that Hannah and James visited just a few locations—I won’t say how many—and struck gold, or sewage, everywhere they went.

"3. Giles and O’Keefe had FOX News bankroll this escapade. I believe that, according to the ACORN spinmeisters, they had the amount of drachmas FOX had given Hannah and James in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The oh-so-sexy reality regarding this little nugget is that it cost these two acorn-crackers $1,300 of their own money. It’s amazing what one can do with a little cash, grandma’s chinchilla coat, a miniskirt and a whole lot of vision, eh? The only cash they received from FOX was for their hotel stay and their airfare while they did Beck’s and Hannity’s shows. That’s the truth. Oh, and as far as me giving her any pesos, for this epoch her papasito gave her nada. Not a penny. No FOX funds. No crazy Christian dad dollars.

4. Giles’ radical, ultra-conservative Christian dad put her up to it. I believe that’s how someone on one of those unwatched news shows has been bending it. Well, I can tell you as her dad that I did not. As much as me no likey the nefarious underpinnings and corrupt acts of ACORN, having my kid dress like a hooker and infiltrate such a place is not in my repertoire. That was Hannah’s baby from start to finish. I simply told her to be careful because we all know how dangerous sweet community organizers can be. Oh, FYI . . . if confessing I’m a sinner, believing orthodox Christian doctrine, saluting our flag and that for which it stands, loving the Constitution, hating terrorists, being fond of guns, hunting, country and rock music while adoring freedom makes me a crazy ultra-conservative Christian lunatic then I guess I am one of those. I will put that name right next to the other name Obama’s former green czar called such a person back in March (I believe he called us '**holes').

"5. Giles and O’Keefe doctored the tapes. This is silly. James is a talented post-production editor, but he didn’t put the words in the ACORN workers’ mouths. He’s sharp . . . but not that sharp. Anyway, if he did you and I both would know it because it would have looked and sounded like one of those old Bruce Lee flicks. Unfortunately for Bertha, Andrew Breitbart has the vids and the transcripts in their entirety on his new site biggovernment.com for anyone to behold. Grab some popcorn and watch ‘em. It’s a teachable moment. Oh, speaking of the tapes: You might wanna go back to the San Bernadino one and listen to the list of politicians the ACORN lady rattled off as elected officials who would possibly be ready and willing to assist with the House for Hookers program.

"Well, my children, that’s the inside poop on how it happened. That’s reality. I, personally, am stunned by what my kid and her cohort did in ratting out tawdry corruption on the highest (or lowest) level. As far as I am concerned, Giles and O’Keefe are American heroes par excellence. They accomplished something in a few short weeks, on a wing and a prayer, that other agencies and people have been trying to expose for many, many moons."

Again, Pastor Giles' article is noteworthy for what he omitted, particularly (1) how many ACORN locations the intrepid young investigators" visited, (2) what role he played, if any, besides his article extolling Beck less than two weeks before she was a focus of Beck reporting and a guest on his show (he denied that "the idea" was his, or that he put his money into the adventure, but he didn't comment on whether he or others helped with "fine tuning" that idea) and (3) what influenced the decision to conduct the sting that has had such a devastating (and delightful) effect.

I don't doubt that the genesis of "the caper" was last May, the "fine tuning" began on May 20 and the "launch" was on July 24.

Exposes like Pastor Giles called a "caper" receive the more attention after Labor Day that they would during the summer and it takes a few months to "fine tune, " "launch" and "fully accomplish[]" a bi-coastal project involving surreptitious video taping at at least five offices.

For Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe, their "caper" made for a very memorable and worthwhile summer.

For ACORN and President Obama, his Administration and Congressional Democrats), it was a bummer.

What happened last May that made the idea of exposing ACORN criminality and corruption an appealing idea to Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe.

Pastor Giles did not say.

Let's look at some facts.

May 10 (Mother's Day) was the day that ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief first appeared on Fox News (with Eric Shawn)to talk about ACORN.

May 11 was the day that Ms. MonCrief appeared with Fox News's Megyn Kelly to talk more about ACORN.

May 20 was a few days after the terrible New York Times, via its pathetic public editor (Clark Hoyt), finally acknowledged the existence of Ms. MonCrief, for whom Ms. MonCrief was a confidential source from July 2008 until October 2008 and who revealed that New York Times editors had killed an Obama/ACORN expose because they feared it would be an election game changer, and Heather Heidelbaugh, the first vice president of the Republican National Lawyers Association and the lawyer for whom Ms. MonCrief testified in the Pennsylvania ACORN case later last October. (Search their names at the New York Times archive yourself to confirm if you like.)

As I wrote in "Exposing the Truth About ACORN, Obama and New York Times Expose Spiking," posted on May 18, 2009:

"Last October, The New York Times killed an ACORN-Obama campaign expose, fearing that it would be a game changer and preferring no change."

Ms. Heidelbaugh had testified before Congress about this last March, but The New York Times and the rest of the liberal media had ignored it.

But Ms. MonCrief then provided to Fox News her email exchange with New York Times national correspondent Stephanie Strom and tape of a voicemail for Ms. Strom to Ms. MonCrief reporting, obviously unhappily, that she (Ms. Strom) had been ordered by "higher up" to "stand down" and so Ms. Heidelbaugh was interviewed by O'Reilly on March 31 and the next day O'Reilly played the voicemail tape (with a bit of unnecessary and undisclosed editing for which Hoyt took O'Reilly to the woodshed in a follow up op-ed that mentioned Ms. MonCrief and Ms. Heidelbaugh for the second and last time).

The Times never publicly mentioned this killing of a pre-election Obama/ACORN expose until its Public Editor, Clark Hoyt, finally did, in a column titled 'The Tip That Didn't Pan Out' and published on May 16, 2009."

It's panning out nicely now, Mr. Hoyt, in great part thanks to the sensational bi-coastal expose by a fake prostitute and pimp (and predictable high public interest in a videotaped sex sting featuring Pastor Giles' lovely young daughter's legs, her posing as a prostitute with little clothing and her sometimes ludicrously attired 25-year old "accomplice").

By exposing ACORN criminality, Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe have given ACORN, Obama and Far Left Dems including President Obama great grief and set the stage for exposing the POLITICAL corruption, the greatest scandal that put Barack Obama in the White House and Far Left Democrats in control of Congress.

For America's sake, let the whole truth prevail and put the criminals in jail!
