The only way is Jesus Christ. I'm 100% convinced of that.
The only way is Jesus Christ. I know that for a fact. Nothing gives me peace like Jesus. I want nothing to do with politics or anything else. All I want is Jesus. I owe Him for making me afraid of sin. I'm disfunctional without Him.
I'm 100% convinced that anybody who wants God would not pursue politics. Republicans who say God called them to run are full of it. God doesn't call people to run for political office. God calls people to holiness. God calls people to soul win. I can feel that God is calling me to focus on Him, walk with Him, and forget about everything else.
For a long time, once I was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder in 2005 (after which I wasn't treated), I could feel when my thyroid was off. Let me just say by 2010, I stopped feeling that. As I look back, it's because I was always off. I felt down all the time. So there was no going back and forth. My labs have shown that to be the case. The only way you deal with that when there's no place to go to get treatment (or it really feels that way) is you find ways to dissociate from your circumstances. Of course, there were people I could call up and tell them I was depressed. But that means nothing if there's a deliberate plan to not treat the thyroid as happened in my case.
In order to be a successful writer, you must be a good thinker. In order to be a good thinker, you must nurture the mind. Sin destroys the mind. And that's why the closer I grew to God, the better writer I became. And now God doesn't want me writing about politics or even economics. He wants my undivided attention.
Mark served honorably for four years on active duty in the Marine Corps infantry, and was a Libertarian endorsed candidate for a municipal office in 2002. He re-enlisted in the ARNG in 2006 because he was depressed/at times SI without the military. He has held the NFA Series 3 license (futures and futures options broker) which he did a voluntary withdrawal on because he couldn't in good conscience sell managed futures since firms would do better to hire an in-house trader to trade a proprietary account with a discount broker, which he outlined in his well-written withdrawal request. Since the year 2000, he has spent much of his free time reading the great minds of the Austrian School of economics, such as Murray Rothbard, Henry Hazlitt, Ludwig von Mises, et al.
