DREAM On

It's back. Senator Reid says the DREAM act is back, and is scheduled on November 29, 2012. How is that for an insult, the day after Thanksgiving. The point is, this has been voted on four or five times, the whole act. Senator Reid doesn't listen to the people.

Or does he? This has been planned for this date. Hoping that Thanksgiving will make people forget about the date. The La Raza, Mecha and other like groups will be out in force. The Catholic churches and others will be there. The unions will be ready. And, others that we cannot imagine will be there.

We think that the American people don’t want it. It doesn’t matter. Senator Reid, and all his crowd are determined to push this through. Think the Health Act.

Many words have been spoken, mine are here.

Here is the proposal. If an alien illegal has skirted our laws, and has come here five years ago, before age 16, graduates high school, or its equal, and says he now wants to go to college or join the military, he is given amnesty.

Roy Beck of NumbersUSA notes:

“DREAM does nothing to stop the behavior that put teenagers into their situation. It leaves the jobs magnet in place.”

Beck notes:

“This amnesty has no enforcement measures at all. It allows employers to continue to hire illegals, enticing millions more parents to bring their children here illegally and stay enough for them to become high school students and demand another amnesty in a few years.

“DREAM leaves intact the chain migration system that will allow these 2.1 million illegal aliens more relatives.

Rather quickly, the amnestied illegal aliens would be able to get green cards for their parents. And millions of additional relatives would be able to start planning their applications and getting in line. This starts with adult siblings and moves on to aunts, uncles, cousins, etc,”

Meanwhile, our own government is busily doing everything in its power to get this legislation through. Obama, Janet Napolitano, Pelosi and Reid will be trying to ram the legislation through.

This has a loosely indicated two million number. Nobody knows how many are in this country; it could be three million. To say that this will not have any effect on the number, would be folly. To sort out the people who want to have amnesty would deny the great benefit this country has to offer. Any person, up to age 35 can apply. They don’t have to finish college; they just have to enroll for two years. Nobody can be deported once an application is made. Instant amnesty?

Convicted of visa fraud, multiple DUI’s, marriage fraud and voter fraud, those considered of “minor crimes”, will be considered for amnesty.

Millions of deserving people are out of work. Should we give two or three million amnesty? It would be a statistical nightmare. No one can come to the right number.

Only this lame-duck Congress could attempt to carry it off. With the little known rules drawn, the floodgates will be open to amnesty.
