WHAT'S IN THAT AMNESTY BILL? ASK YOUR SENATORS

Most Americans do not have the time to look through the many bills brought before Congress. That is why we have representatives to do that for us. However, it seems some of our representatives have either not read the current "comprehensive" immigration bill before the Senate, or they think it is okay to give away the store.

Here are just some of the provisions to prove this point:

No back taxes to be paid by illegals. Wish you could have that forgiveness?

Earned Income Tax break. Even if an illegal doesn’t make enough money to pay taxes, that illegal will be eligible for the EIT, a provision that gives a check to those eligible. Great deal, pay no taxes, receive a check, courtesy of those who do pay taxes.

Lawyers for illegals to be paid by taxpayers. When was the last time the government paid for your attorney?

DREAM act benefit. Even though an illegal may not live in the state where he/she wants to attend college or university, that illegal will be eligible for in-state tuition break. This is something lots of citizens will not have. Since they will likely be considered as minority status, they will go to the head of the line, thereby possibly crowding out a citizen. Slots for schools of higher learning are limited.

Amnesty for absconders. Those who have been through our court system and ordered to reappear often just do not show up. The southern border states’ courts are already clogged with cases involving illegals. Should we just forget about these who float around our country, in defiance of a court order?

Learning to speak English, if required at all, will be delayed for several years.

Money for Mexico to try to get its people to stay at home. This is a popular solution for our lawmakers...throw money at the problem.

A legal right to stay here, after only a 24 hour security check. Can’t get it done it done in 24 hours? Okay, you’re in. Terrorists will like the provision that allows them to just invent a new identity. They can get a new identity, gained by showing fake identification, which is on sale on many street corners. The agencies that try to establish identification right now are severely backlogged, so this will just make it almost impossible to determine if someone is assuming a false identity. This is the “terrorist assistance” provision in the bill.

Gang members get amnesty, also. All they have to do is say they don’t want to belong to a gang any longer. We know they wouldn’t lie.

Amnesty for those who have been “aiding and abetting” illegal aliens. This applies to churches who give sanctuary and employers who have been abusing our laws in hiring illegals so they could benefit from cheap labor and enrich their bottom lines. No legal action could be taken against them for having already broken our laws.

Fast track for the SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership), becoming more commonly known as the North American Union. As bad as the aforementioned provisions are, this particular provision is probably the most pernicious and dangerous of all.

The presidents of the three countries of Mexico, Canada and the U.S. have come to an agreement to “harmonize” almost everything in our social structures. Cabinet members in our country have been in secret meetings to implement these “understandings”. President Bush issued an executive order to create working groups. Therefore, there is no oversight by Congress, and no representation of We the People.

Is this why the border is still almost wide open? Why build a fence when we will all be one union, under one set of laws? Will our own laws be superseded by the higher North American Union court of “law”, as they are now under the NAFTA agreement?

Ask your senator. Maybe he doesn’t know. If he does, he is derelict in not publicizing it and asking his constituents if they want a North American Union.
