Forget the Tax Records, What About Required Documents?
The US news media are busy tattering over Romney's refusal to release his income tax records. Evidently, the news media are more concerned with gossip than with determining the credibility of Obama's claim to have been born in Hawaii. If Obama had been born in Hawaii, why is there so much secrecy and reluctance to release his real birth certificate for review and inspection?
If anyone still labors under the delusion that the US news media are not solidly behind the re-election of Barack Obama, their focus on Gov. Romney's refusal to release his personal tax records (which, quite frankly, are none of anyone's business) coupled with their complete lack of interest in whether or not their candidate is constitutionally qualified to hold the office he seeks for a second term, should dispel any doubts.
Gov. Romney should respond to the Obama campaign with, "Tell you what, Barack. You release a bona fide original of your birth certificate so the people can be assured that you are, in fact, eligible to hold the office for which you seed a second term, and I'll release my personal income tax returns.
Oh, and by the way, there is no legal or constitutional requirement for any candidate to release their private, personal income tax returns. But there is a requirement that the President be a "natural born citizen" of the United States. So why have you expended so much effort blocking access to anyone who seeks to verify that you were, indeed, born in the United States? And why have you deliberately released a forgery of your birth certificate (April 27, 2011) while claiming it was real?
It is testimony to the absolute bankruptcy of the Obama campaign (including their allies in the US news media) that they must focus on Gov. Romney's personal income tax returns while ignoring their own glaring problems.
Given the complexity of the US tax code (something Gov. Romney should pledge to change), for anyone to release their personal tax return information to a bevy of antagonistic lawyers would be insane.
The whole non-issue is designed to be part of a smokescreen to cover up the gross ineptitude of Barack Hussein Obama during his term in office.
People thought they were voting for "hope" and "change". What they got was Obamalaise[1].
[1]Obamalaise: The condition of utter despair brought on by a betrayal of "hope" and "change" coupled with gross fiscal irresponsibility producing massive unemployment while appealing to class envy and racial polarization.
Biography - Bob Webster
Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.
A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
