Democrat Leaders Contravene US Policy, Continue to Meet with Terrorists

Last week, MEMRI (Middle East Research Group) reported on an article carried by the Egyptian publication Al-Masryoon. The story pertained to an invitation extended by a high-ranking US Democrat leader to the terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood. The invitation was purportedly given to the organization’s leader, so that the Brotherhood might speak before the US Congress. Due to its ongoing terrorist activities, which include what has been called a complex worldwide financial network that funds its own 70 branches (as well as Hamas, al-Jihad and al-Gama’at al-Islamiyya in Egypt), the organization has been banned in the United States. Although the invitation to speak before Congress has yet to be reported by any US “mainstream” news source, we now know that House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) met with the Brotherhood’s Egyptian leader Mohammed Saad el-Katatni at least twice this month—first in the Egyptian Parliament and then at a reception. No information as to Hoyer’s conversation with the terrorist leader has been released via any official channels.

Notably, the Muslim Brotherhood’s dictum is: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way! Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” Although the Brotherhood and its supporters (now including the Democrat Party?) are working diligently to convince us that they are “moderate Muslims”, the Middle East Forum reports: “But, speaking Arabic or Turkish before their fellows Muslims, they drop their facade and embrace radicalism. While their representatives speak about interfaith dialogue and integration on television, their mosques preach hate and warn worshippers about the evils of Western society. While they publicly condemn the murder of commuters in Madrid and school children in Russia, they continue to raise money for Hamas and other terrorist organizations.” Does this sound moderate to you?

Since its inception in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood has taught the doctrine of jihadi Islam in its radical Wahhabi schools (madrassas)—which teach curricula that includes “Jews and Christians are infidels” and that “non-Muslims are the enemy!” Wahhabi’s founder Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab also said that all unbelievers (including Muslims who did not accept Wahhabism, Christians and Jews etc.) were to be put to death. For years, Europe has been experiencing an ever increasing influx of radical Wahhabism. But, now it has entered the United States of America and is now firmly entrenched upon our shores. Wahhabi schools and mosques exist and are active in multiple US states. Although supporters attempt to mislead the public by offering up the deceptive comment “only a small minority of Wahhabis are militant”, the very tenets of Islamic Wahhabism are based upon both militancy and ridding the entire world of ‘infidels’. The USA is now breeding its own homegrown terrorists, beginning with its training of school-aged children to hate the United States and all for which it stands. Islamic teaching is also being firmly implanted in US public schools. For those of you who will, surely again, advise me that ‘there is a difference between teaching Islam and the Muslim religion’—there is not. In Islamic societies, religion and the state are one despotic entity. In Islamic societies, there is no separation between mosque and state. In Islamic-run nations, religions other than Muslim are not allowed to practice—let alone proselytize. Conversion of Muslims to any other religion carries a death sentence for both the proselytizer and the convert. Even the attempt to recruit a Muslim to any other religion includes the death sentence. Is this moderation? Can there truly be any viable dialogue with those who embrace this ideology?

Still, Democrats continue to meet with terrorists overseas and within our midst. Against US policy and basic common sense, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) met with Syrian terrorist President Bashar al-Assad. Was this meeting an attempt to afford al-Assad world credibility? Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Tom Lantos (D-CA) said he wanted to meet with terrorist Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and commented: “Speaking just for myself, I would be ready to get on a plane tomorrow morning, because however objectionable, unfair and inaccurate many of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statements are, it is important that we have a dialogue with him. Speaking for myself, I'm ready to go! And knowing the speaker, I think that she might be.” And now, again flouting US policy and basic good sense, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) has met twice with the leader of one of the most active terrorist groups on the planet. One can only wonder which Democrat leader will be next to embrace and submit to the next terrorist group. Are Democrats competing with each other, in order to bolster their résumés? Are they trying to increase their politically-correct-to-terrorists visibility? Or, do they believe that Islamic terrorism is merely another ideology that the United States must accept? Perhaps it’s merely a resurgence of a new and can’t-be-improved Apathy Movement. Whatever the reasons for these deranged behaviors, with each passing day and each new meeting with another terrorist leader, Democrats are thrusting we-the-people into an escalating jeopardy. No matter how widely terrorists smile and speak soothingly to Democrat leaders what they want to hear, they have already told and shown us their true intentions. As they continue to give them aid and comfort, tragically for us and the rest of the world, the Democrats continue both to listen and then surrender to the terrorists’ whispered lies.
