‘Red Eye’ host gives social conservatives a black eye

The host of Fox News Channel's Red Eye smeared and mocked what he deems "conservative moralists" such as the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America for not participating in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), a prominent forum for conservative activism.

The host of Fox News Channel's Red Eye smeared and mocked what he deems "conservative moralists" such as the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America for not participating in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), a prominent forum for conservative activism. After being involved in CPAC for over a decade the conservative groups chose to pull out of the event because CPAC has moved away from conservative principles. This year GOProud, a group of ‘gay’ conservative activists, was invited to participate.

To be fair, the host, Greg Gutfeld, is a satirist. Red Eye regulars are conservative, libertarian and liberal. No topic of discussion is off limits on the show. Discussions include politics, religion, homosexuality and they even cover “ethnic houseboys, torture pits, cannibalism as a ‘lifestyle choice,’ seedy tricks in parks, allusions to drug abuse, etc.” Most of the time the show airs at 3:00 a.m. EST.

On December 30 Gutfeld opened the segment on CPAC with this monologue:

“They’re here, they’re queer, and the Family Research Council refuses to get used to it nor would the Concerned Women for America love them. As a result, both groups are refusing to attend the DC-based Conservative Political Action Conference this February, due to the fact the righty group GOProud has been invited, ‘cause, well, they’re evil sodomites says Tom McClusky of FRC of his boycentric boycott…”

First off, Tom McClusky, senior Vice President for FRC Action, said no such thing. He did, however, make a statement about FRC’s refusal to attend CPAC:

"We've been very involved in CPAC for over a decade and have managed a couple of popular sessions. However, we will no longer be involved with CPAC because of the organization's financial mismanagement and movement away from conservative principles."

What the Red Eye host failed to mention was that several other conservative groups have withdrawn from CPAC, to include the American Principles Project, American Values, Capital Research Center, the Center for Military Readiness, Liberty Counsel, and the National Organization for Marriage.

Now back to the show. After showing a clip of so-called ‘gay’ penguins, Gutfeld mused:

“What should CPAC do about these conservative moralists who just can’t believe that gays have a right to be there?”

He called on FNC’s Kimberly Guilfoyle to answer:

“[They should] pretend that they never even made a statement about it, honestly, if they address it, they’re giving some kind of validity to their position. I think they’re being divisive. It’s not helpful.”

What’s not helpful, Ms Guilfoyle? The fact that, unlike liberals, conservatives refuse to compromise their values and principles?

Guilfoyle ended with this childish comment:

“They should participate if they want their voices to be heard and actually show up.”

Should they also show up at a ‘gay’ pride parade and join in the merriment just to prove to the GLBT community that they’re not the bigoted, intolerant, unloving homophobes they’re accused of being? The organizations that dropped out of CPAC had good reason to do so. And because they happen to be significant conservative organizations their voices will be heard -- and their moral values will remain intact.

Moving right along, panelist Joe ticked off some of the problems we’ve got-- our debt to China, snow in New York City streets, people crossing the border and “we don’t know who they are…” (They’re illegal immigrants, Joe!) “Oh, but let’s worry about gay people…it’s so annoying…it’s no one’s business...if they want to be at your conservative conference you should look at the things you have in common with them politically! This is where the Republicans are going to squander all the gains they’ve made." High five from the panel.

So Joe is saying that Republicans may squander all their gains if they don’t wimp out and cave in to liberal’s demands. Joe also thinks Republicans could lose the next election for refusing to stray from their conservative platform. Has he not heard of the grass roots movement called the Tea Party that got liberals fired and conservatives elected? Conservatives that wimp out will be out of a job, Joe!

At one point the Gregmeister’s brows knitted together and he asked in a serious tone:

"I just got to wonder…why do people care so much?" ‘Gay’ panelist Bill Schultz shot back, "Because they’re actually gay…they’re absolutely gay."

I was hoping Kimberly, a conservative, to jump in and defend family values. Nope. She sat there cackling like a hen.

There’s more. Toward the end of the discussion Bill, with yet another attempt at humor, made this observation about Christians:

“If you’ve only got your car and you’ve only got your church, you’ve got a lot of time on your so what you do is you go back to your house….and you’re angry. You’re not sure why you’re angry so you start thinking about dudes, then you start thinking about dudes having sex, and you get angrier and angrier…”

C’mon, Bill, Christians are labeled “judgmental” not angry. The angry label fits the liberal revolutionary or the radical ‘gay’ activist.

But I digress.

All in all the Red Eye panelists had a gay old time (pun intended) mocking conservatives for their politically incorrect stance on homosexuality. One wonders if they’d sit around the table joking about the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) 2010 report:

1 in 5 men who have sex with men in 21 U.S. cities has HIV; nearly half unaware. http://www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/newsroom/ngmHAAD2010PressRelease.html

Would they poke fun at the CDC’s 2009 report:

AIDS Rate 50 Times Higher in Homosexual Men http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/archive/ldn/2009/aug/09082609

Would the CDC’s report on syphilis be something they’d find humor in? Here’s a quote that will set your teeth on edge:

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated the following regarding syphilis in the United States: "While surveillance data are not available by risk behavior, a separate CDC analysis suggests that approximately 64 percent of all adult P&S syphilis cases in 2004 were among men who have sex with men, up from an estimated 5 percent in 1999...."

Evidently the panelists are unaware of World Net Daily's 2009 report on the fallacy of the so-called gay gene:

'Gay' gene claim suddenly vanishes. American Psychological Association revises statement on homosexuality http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=97940"

Peter LaBarbara, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, said he supports conservative groups pulling out of CPAC. In Greg’s opening monologue he couldn’t resist giving him a smearing “all in good fun” I’m sure. (My comments in brackets):

“Meanwhile, like-minded gay-haters applaud the move. Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality…” (before continuing Gutfeld grinned, glanced at the panel and quipped) “You know their meetings are shirtless…” (Getting the laugh he was looking for he then quoted LaBarbera) ‘Shame on CPAC for defending the absurd proposition that one can be conservative while embracing moral surrender.’ Oddly he said that while shaving his chest.”

The panel continued snickering during the Red Eye host’s tasteless insults. No surprise there. This is what we’ve come to expect from entertainers.

Sadly, social conservatives who have the courage to state publically that sodomy is, by its very nature, an unhealthy practice are smeared and mocked by those who disagree with them. Will someone please explain to the Left that a sexual practice that brings with it deadly diseases and untold misery cannot be a good thing for society. The CDC, a government agency, makes it clear that man-on-man sex is a danger to society if for no other reason than HIV/AIDS will potentially puts those who contract it six feet under!

One last quote from Greg Gutfeld and then I’ll move on. Allow his enlightened view of sodomy to sink in because Mr. Gutfeld shares the same view as most celebrities:

“Maybe it’s because I live here (the Big Apple) but I-I-I, I don’t remember anybody in my circle who gives a d- -n about what goes on in people’s bedrooms.”

In the city that never sleeps it may not matter. However, in other parts of the country where regular folks live what goes on behind closed doors does matter. And for good reason!

But that’s another article.

Most everyone in our so-called enlightened society, including many Christians, has adopted the politically correct motto “live and let live.” Funny how we don’t apply this motto to alcoholics, drug addicts, smokers, over-eaters and pornography consumers. We’re always trying to get the addicted into a 12-step program “for their own sake.” Why don’t we do the same with ‘gay’ people?

Who would say to a smoker, “Smoke to your heart’s content sweet cheeks.” No one wants a loved one pulling a container of oxygen around. Which is why the medical profession airs TV commercials showing deceased celebrities warning of the dangers of lung cancer and illegal drug use and why we say to loved ones, “Quit smoking or you’ll die of lung cancer you idiot!”

Our PC society has a “live and let live” attitude toward homosexuals even though a number of scientific studies show that same-sex sex is a self-destructive behavior. Sodomy is just as injurious to the human body as alcoholism, drug abuse, smoking and obesity.

The good news is that there is no scientific evidence that there is a ‘gay’ gene – like it or not being ‘gay’ is a choice as is imbibing in alcohol, smoking, porking out, and viewing pornography. By the grace of God ‘gay’ people can and do change. I’m not just whistling Dixie. There is plenty of evidence to support this claim. Problem is, news sources hide the truth for a number of reasons that I don’t have the time to go into. (Check the links below for the answers.) What’s important for people to discover is the truth about homosexuality. To begin your quest visit Stephen Bennett’s website http://www.sbministries.org/members/sbm

For real hope and change to come to America, Christians must “feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and visit the prisoner,”said the late James Montgomery Boice. “But the chief needs of people are still spiritual, and social work is no adequate substitute for evangelism. In fact, efforts to help people will only be truly effective as their hearts and minds are changed by the gospel.” (Bold mine.)

In the words of the Lord Jesus, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).
