The GOP is in Serious Trouble
It is time for loyal Americans to unite to save and restore our Constitutional Republic.

Evidently, the national GOP has adopted the view that attacking the Tea Party movement (which supports constitutional governance, sustainable fiscal policy, and free-market economics) should be a top priority while effective opposition to the unconstitutional actions of an out-of-control Chief Executive and the wholly-corrupt Democrat Senate leadership is somehow not that important.

On December 16 we received an email message signed "Santa Claus" from the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). That message is reproduced below in the "Notes" section.

Being thoroughly disgusted with the antics and non-performance of the the Republican "leadership" of the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the national Republican organization, the following reply was made to that NRCC email:

Dear Santa,

I see from my list that you give gifts to people like Rep. John Boehner and Sen. Mitch McConnell.

Since I know from my own elves that Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell both falsely claim to be “conservative” (they may not even be aware of the meaning of the term), and since you will support these men in all future elections with campaign funds collected from people from whom you solicit funds (as you have with your email below), I cannot in good conscience provide ANY support to you or ANY OTHER NATIONAL REPUBLICAN organization.

As a life-long registered Republican, I am DISGUSTED by the antics of top establishment “Republicans” (true RINOs) who talk the talk but then do not walk the walk.

It is truly sad that the American People must now fight not only the corrupt Marxist Democrats, but the ineffectual, no-compass, unprincipled national Republican organization. You think we will support you simply because you are not “them”? Think again.

It disgusts me that the national Republican organization is so monumentally stupid that they would take on the Tea Party movement as an adversary rather than embrace their objectives and work with them to promote the best candidates to support our Constitutional Republic.

Because of failed policies of both Republican AND Democrat politicians in Congress, and because the GOP-controlled House fails to stop the hemorrhaging of deficit spending, I cannot in good conscience continue to support candidates simply on the basis that they are supported by a national Republican organization.

The Republican Party's brazen disregard for the American people, their cowardice in failing to take on the deeply-flawed education-media news propagandists, and their failure to effectively promote candidates who pledge to restore constitutional governance, enforce sustainable fiscal policy, and promote free-market economics (i.e. “Tea Party” movement candidates) provide me with ample reason to ignore this and ALL FUTURE pleas for funding from ANY NATIONAL Republican organization.

Mend your ways and we may again support your organization. But until you EARN our RESPECT and support again, you will NOT GET A SINGLE PENNY!

It pains me to see you attempting to navigate a course pleasing to your opponents just to curry favor with the news media and try to “get along” with Marxist Democrats who will still take every opportunity to undermine everything you try to accomplish. It is even more painful to receive phone solicitations from national Republican organizations who all seem to think they simply have to wave the word “Obamacare” around and repeat phrases like “opposing the Democrats” in order to pry money out of people. You have a very low opinion of the people from whom you solicit funding and, evidently, an inflated opinion of Republican “leaders”.

Our donations will go to candidates with a strong understanding and support for constitutional governance, regardless of party affiliation.

Have I made myself clear?

Evidently, we are not the only Republicans who are eager to support either a wholesale change in political party leadership or formation of a new first political party. Responding to phone solicitations from the national GOP with a similar blunt message, the live feedback I've gotten has ranged from agreement to complete frustration, both of which carry the clear message that solicitation for funding in support of the national GOP is not going very well this year. That should come as no surprise.

The American people are a lot more astute than is recognized by the corrupt national "leadership" of both political parties in Washington, D.C.

In particular, the national GOP appears to have adopted the view that attacking the Tea Party movement (which supports constitutional governance, sustainable fiscal policy, and free-market economics - read: "real jobs") should be a top priority while effectively opposing unconstitutional actions of an out-of-control Chief Executive and the wholly-corrupt Democrat Senate leadership is somehow not that important.

Either the ineffective GOP national leadership (Rep. Boehner and Sen. McConnell being two of the absolute worst of the GOP "leadership") must be replaced, or else true Republicans must ally themselves with Independents and disenchanted Democrats who support constitutional governance, sustainable fiscal policy, and free-market economics to work from the local level on up to establish a new national party dedicated to restoring our Constitutional Republic and committed to sound fiscal "pay-as-you-go" policy in an atmosphere conducive to free-market job creation.

The most direct way to create a fresh first political party dedicated to resorting our Constitutional Republic is to simply become very active at the local, state, and national level within the existing framework of the current Republican Party. Where active party involvement is not practical, it is critical that each of us have a good working knowledge of our Constitution of the United States of America. It is a simple document to read and particularly well understood when guided by The Federalist Papers. Understanding our Constitution will put you way ahead of the national Republican leadership and put you in an excellent position to support only those candidates for local, state, and national elected office who are dedicated to re-establishing our Constitutional Republic through effective leadership at every level of government.

There are already organizations dedicated to restoring our Constitutional Republic through electing national leaders who will govern consistent with their oath of office. One such organization is the Senate Conservatives Fund. This national organization is committed to replacing the corrupt politicians in Washington, D.C. with statesmen committed to serving the people and not themselves. A recent email from that organization pointed out that RINO (Republicans In Name Only) "Republicans" abandon the GOP at the first sign they might lose their next election to a real conservative Republican:

These so-called "Republicans" are a manifestation of the same malaise exhibited by the ineffectual Republicans in Congress under the lack of leadership of Speaker of the House, John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell.

The reason our nation is in such serious trouble culturally, economically, and politically is simple to understand. First, the Democrat Party has been completely corrupted by the very most extreme Left-wing elements of that party. The Communist Party USA even went so far as to state that it no longer has a reason to exist in the United States because the Democrat Party is now run by those who adhere to every aspect of their own views. Second, the Republican Party has become so completely corrupt and inept that, led by self-serving long-time politicians, it is impossible for the GOP to take a principled stand against the destruction of our Constitutional Republic.

For these reasons, the GOP cannot be relied upon to take effective action opposing dictatorial actions of our Chief Executive, nor can it be counted on to stop the hemorrhaging of the value of our currency and the future solvency of our nation.

The only conclusion one can draw from the current situation is that the existing GOP leadership must go and be replaced by articulate, well-informed, strong adherents to constitutional governance, sustainable fiscal policy that does not destroy our currency, and job growth that can only come through invigoration of our free-market economic system (aka, capitalism).

It is up to the American People to retake their local, state and national governments from the corrupt and inept in both parties.

Now is the time for you to do your part to save our nation.

Notes:  Original email from NRCC:

xxxxxx,

I have a very, very bad feeling about this Christmas. The naughty list has more names than people who’ve signed up on Healthcare.gov… actually, that's a low bar.

My naughty list has more people than the White House wants to pretend will sign up for ObamaCare—that’s a lot.

Top of the naughty list? Barack Obama himself and, toting along as always, Nancy Pelosi.

Here’s why I’m surprised - right now “xxxxxx” is on there too. That can’t be right, can it?

I know you don’t want to see Obama and Pelosi succeed—so make a donation and let's get you crossed off the naughty list and back in the nice column, ok?

You won’t just be helping the country, you’re also helping me out.

What’s the problem, you ask? The Democrats have darn near destroyed the entire coal industry - and millions of hard-working jobs along with it. So I don’t have enough lumps to go around.

I guess I could stuff stockings with IOUs from their bankrupt buddies like Solyndra.

I don’t want to hand you another IOU - the Democrats have already given you plenty.

xxxxxx, how about you get yourself on the nice list this Christmas and make sure Nancy Pelosi doesn’t get the Speaker’s gavel under her tree next year?

Give the gift of free enterprise, individual liberty, and limited government this year—make a donation now.

Making a list and checking it twice,

Santa Claus

Biography - Bob Webster

Author of "Looking Out the Window", an evidence-based examination of the "climate change" issue, Bob Webster, is a 12th-generation descendent of both the Darte family (Connecticut, 1630s) and the Webster family (Massachusetts, 1630s). He is a descendant of Daniel Webster's father, Revolutionary War patriot Ebenezer Webster, who served with General Washington. Bob has always had a strong interest in early American history, our Constitution, U.S. politics, and law. Politically he is a constitutional republican with objectivist and libertarian roots. He has faith in the ultimate triumph of truth and reason over deception and emotion. He is a strong believer in our Constitution as written and views the abandonment of constitutional restraint by the regressive Progressive movement as a great danger to our Republic. His favorite novel is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and believes it should be required reading for all high school students so they can appreciate the cost of tolerating the growth of unconstitutional crushingly powerful central government. He strongly believes, as our Constitution enshrines, that the interests of the individual should be held superior to the interests of the state.

A lifelong interest in meteorology and climatology spurred his strong interest in science. Bob earned his degree in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, graduating in 1964.
