Project 21: Downgrade Blame Belongs to Obama, Not Tea Party

Tea Partiers have prescribed the necessary economic medicine that upsets the plans of socialists and stealth socialists intent on redistributing wealth and perpetuating political power.

Project 21, a leading voice of black conservatives sponsored by the National Center for Public Policy Research (http://www.nationalcenter.org), quickly rebutted in a press release bogus "assertions made by rabid supporters of President Barack Obama that the recent downgrade of the nation's credit rating is the fault of the tea party movement."

Deneen Borelli, Project 21 fellow, declared that "[o]ur country is at a crossroads," and he's "proud to stand with patriotic tea party activists who are concerned about the future of our nation."

Borelli added: "The tea party movement burst on the national scene as a spontaneous reaction to government gone wild -- outrageous spending, growing deficit and exploding debt. Since its inception, the tea party movement has been a positive force for reducing the size and scope of government."

Project 21 spokesman Cherylyn Harley LeBon judged the Standard and Poor's downgrade of America's credit rating from AAA to AA+ -- a historic first downgrade of its kind in American history -- as "just another example of this president and his administration's failure to lead" and not the Tea Party's fault. LeBon said: "One can hardly point to the tea party for the credit downgrade. The debt problem could have been addressed when it arose in the fall of 2010 when the liberals still had a majority in Congress. Instead, Obama took a pass -- as he has done with so many issues -- and lays blame with others."

"The credit downgrade is a consequence forced upon the American people by a president who has consistently demonstrated no regard to the fact the Constitution grants no right to Congress to subsidize private interests," said Project 21 spokesman Stacy Swimp, a tea party organizer in Michigan. "Corporate welfare, record spending and contempt towards the Constitution from liberals created the condition which ultimately has led to the downgrade. Tea party activists have consistently and correctly condemned the aforementioned fiscal irresponsibility."

That's the truth. Tea Partiers have prescribed the necessary economic medicine that upsets the plans of socialists and stealth socialists intent on redistributing wealth and perpetuating political power.

On "Fox News Sunday," David Beers, the head of Standard and Poor's government debt-rating unit, said: "[T]his is not really about either political party... [T]he underlying debt burden of the U.S. government is rising and will continue to do so...."

But key Obama defenders are desperately trying to shift the blame to the Tea Party, including Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, who had picked Obama to keynote the 2004 Democrat National Convention, and ACORN/Project Vote alumna Jehmu Greene, now providing her radical Obama apologist views on "fair and balanced" Fox News.

As President, Obama dutifully pursued the ACORN strategy, exemplified by Obamacare, and his sgteealth socialist agenda predictably led to downgrade and immediate denial of responsibility.

Gaynor currently contributes regularly to www.MichNews.com, www.RenewAmerica.com, www.WebCommentary.com, www.PostChronicle.com and www.therealitycheck.org and has contributed to many other websites. He has written extensively on political and religious issues, notably the Terry Schiavo case, the Duke "no rape" case, ACORN and canon law, and appeared as a guest on television and radio. He was acknowledged in Until Proven Innocent, by Stuart Taylor and KC Johnson, and Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin. He appeared on "Your World With Cavuto" to promote an eBay boycott that he initiated and "The World Over With Raymond Arroyo" (EWTN) to discuss the legal implications of the Schiavo case. On October 22, 2008, Gaynor was the first to report that The New York Times had killed an Obama/ACORN expose on which a Times reporter had been working with ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief.
