The ACORN Scandal IS Partisan, Glenn Beck

Tell the WHOLE truth about ACORN AND the ACORN 8, Mr. Beck.

Independent Glenn Beck loves to criticize both Republicans and Democrats and regularly calls on his listeners and viewers to follow him.

Beck rightly "dismisses the urban legend that his show caters to Republicans: 'I am more mad at them than I am the Democrats. The proof is in the show and how many times I have had it out with various members of the GOP over some of their bonehead decisions.'" Salerno Zito, "Beck, Unfiltered," April 12, 2009 (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2009/04/glenn_beck_unfiltered.html).

Of course, Beck is entitled to criticize Republicans as well as Democrats and both give him cause, but Beck needs to accept the truth and his foolish presumption or pretense that the ACORN scandal is NOT partisan is nuts.

ACORN is a subversive organization that was created in 1970 by radicals.

ACORN has been a Far Left scandal from the start.

The Rathke embezzlement and its cover up for years are symptomatic of Far Left political corruption, not the essential problem.

For many years, ACORN has functioned as an unofficial arm of the Democrat Party, NOT the Republican Party.

ACORN cooperates with Far Left Democrats, not moderate or conservative Democrats.

By not reporting the whole truth, Beck has misled his listeners and viewers and helped Democrats.

I am familiar with the evidence.

On October 7, 2008, now ex-liberal ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief emailed me: "I worked at Project Vote and ACORN for years and can provide inside information on the connections with Obama and FEC violations, IRS 501(c)3 violations and the threats and intimidation that ACORN has used to keep me quiet. I am willing to submit to a polygraph and turn over Obama's 2nd quarter donor list with was obtained by Project Vote Development Director Karyn Gillette directly from the Obama Campaign. I also have a DNC list that was forwarded to Project Vote along with donor lists for Kerry and Clinton."

Ms. MonCrief provided ample evidence proving that ACORN was not only a Democrat scandal, but improperly coordinating with the Obama presidential candidate.

The decision of the Obama-supporting The New York Times to kill an Obama/ACORN expose last October highlights the partisan nature of the ACORN scandal.

Ms. MonCrief's evidence showed that the ACORN scandal was unambiguously partisan.

To be specific, ACORN is a Far Left Democrat scandal. (To be sure, decent Democrats would want nothing to do with ACORN if they knew the whole truth about it.)

That doesn't fit Beck's desires, but it's the truth and the truth does not require Beck's approval.

Beck loves the ACORN 8 these days because ACORN national spokesman Scott Levenson accused him of being afraid of black people, nearly all of the 8 are black, and all of them have been opposing the current ACORN control group without acknowledging the partisan nature of the ACORN scandal.

If you doubt that, read this statement issued by the ACORN 8 and available at www.acorn-8.net:

"What Makes the A8 Different

"We are members and leaders in ACORN. The A8 consists of national, state and local board members, presidents or chairs. As such, we are leaders in our communities and in within ACORN. And we all share a passion for helping the underserved and disenfranchised through direct community action.

"Historically, ACORN dismisses most of its detractors by utilizing three basic arguments:

1) the attackers are GOP partisans and have a political agenda.

2) the attackers are disgruntled employees with an axe to grind

3) the attackers are disenchanted members and have no knowledge or information.

"The ACORN 8 complaints are not so easily dismissed. As leaders and board members, we are loyal members, are knowledgeable and we have fiduciary duties and responsibilities to our membership.

"We are ACORN. The national board is responsible for the organization. And we are trying to exercise our fiduciary duties and obligations to our membership. We have legal standing, to enforce our rights and pursue ACORN in courts of law and in the court of public opinion.

"What We Are Not –

"We are NOT trying to Destroy ACORN. We are ACORN, we love ACORN and are only attempting to reform the association and return it to its original mission and purpose.

"We are NOT disgruntled ACORN employees or GOP / Republican operatives. Thus, we do not have a personal or partisan axe to grind or a political agenda to support.

"We are ACORN. We don’t get mad, we don’t get even … we get ORGANIZED!!!"

The ACORN 8 are right... about not being "GOP/Republican operatives" and being supportive of ACORN's "original mission and purpose."

They are leftist Democrats whose dispute with ACORN relates to who should control ACORN, not whether it should be a Far Left organization that serves as an unofficial arm of the Democrat Party.

The evidence shows that last year the ACORN 8 conducted their campaign against ACORN so as not to hurt the Obama campaign instead of telling the whole truth.

Tell the WHOLE truth about ACORN AND the ACORN 8, Mr. Beck.

Ms. MonCrief chose to do so, and it should not be nearly as hard for you.
