Will a United States Senate Seat Be Stolen With ACORN Help?

“Then one heavily Democratic town miraculously discovered 100 missing ballots. And, in another marvel, they were all for Al Franken! It was like a completely evil version of a Christmas miracle."

When conservative heroine Ann Coulter and liberal whistleblower Anita MonCrief agree, fair-minded folks better take notice!

Ann is Legal Affairs Correspondent for Human Event and author of bestsellers High Crimes and Misdemeanors, Slander, How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must), Godless, and most recently, If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans.

Anita describes herself as “a liberal Democrat, pro-choice and a Obama supporter."

Nevertheless, before Election Day 2008 Anita came forward to expose ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), because Anita had come to realize that “ACORN is a corrupt organization that is preying on the marginalized in this society and…the cancerous growth of this election.”

For those who want to know how absentee ballots can be used to steal votes, read that article quoting Anita by Wall Street Journal's John Fund.

Anita’s latest blog article, "More ACORN Antics: Minnesota Style":

“As the world awaits the ‘final’ word on the Senate race in Minnesota, I find myself once again to [be] walking down a path that has rotten acorns crunching under my feet. As reports rolled in last week that more votes have been found for a certain candidate, I wondered how close the Canvassing Board is to the ACORN office. I also wondered it they were delivered in a red van with a familiar black symbol.

“During 2007 ACORN's sister organization Project Vote began operating what some would consider to be a national office out of Minnesota. The newly created position of Director of Special Projects was given to Kevin Whelan- a long time ACORN golden boy and Zach Polett's right hand man. Project Vote also had a separate development team in MN for fundraising. The amount of resources sent to this office appeared to be for setting up a national office and much time was spent cultivating donors just for our work in this one state.

“For some this may not be remarkable, but one must remember that Project Vote did the same thing in Ohio and the results produced an ACORN friendly Secretary of State, who rode into office on the shoulders of a minimum wage campaign.

“ACORN and Project Votes strategic plan may not involve direct contact with any candidate in Minnesota, but history has shown that Republicans are not as supportive of their agenda, and ACORN will further their agenda at all costs. Project Vote also has a donor list for the Minnesota DFL Party and seemed to be using it to cultivate donors for their Minnesota Voter Registration Program.

“In 2006 Project Vote conducted a study on provisional ballots, the same type that appear to be popping up all over Minnesota. I also testified about the knowledge that there was also a high level of Fraud in absentee ballots and management stated that they would need to ‘plan accordingly.’

“Dirty tricks and stealing elections? Nonpartisan funds used for partisan activities? Poor minorities used as pawns by the rich? If it looks like a crook and acts like one: it must be ACORN.”

Ann, in her latest article, “One Plus One Equals 20 Extra Votes For Franken“:

“The day after the November election, Republican Sen. Norm Coleman had won his re-election to the U.S. Senate, beating challenger Al Franken by 725 votes.

“Then one heavily Democratic town miraculously discovered 100 missing ballots. And, in another marvel, they were all for Al Franken! It was like a completely evil version of a Christmas miracle.

“As strange as it was that all 100 post-election, ‘discovered’ ballots would be for one candidate, it was even stranger that the official time stamp for the miracle ballots printed out by the voting machine on the miracle ballots showed that the votes had been cast on Nov. 2 -- two days before the election.

“Democratic election officials in the miracle-ballot county simply announced that their voting machine must have been broken. Don't worry about it -- they were sure those 100 votes for Franken were legit.

“Then another 400-odd statistically improbable ‘corrections’ were made in other Democratic strongholds until -- by the end of election week -- Coleman's lead had been whittled down to a mere 215 votes.

“Since then, highly irregular counting methods have added to Franken's total bit by bit, to the point that Coleman is now ahead by only 188 votes.”

Ann, who does not mince words and uses pointed analogies, bluntly explained what is going on in Minnesota this way: “The vote-theft most like Minnesota this year was the infamous 2004 gubernatorial election in Washington State. The Republican won the race on election night, but ballots favoring the Democrat kept being ‘discovered’ until the Democrat finally eked out a majority. At that point, the recount was immediately halted and the Democrat declared the victor.”

And Ann lambasted Republicans for pathetic passiviity and stupidity:: “No matter how many times Democrats steal elections, Republicans keep thinking the next time will be different. Minnesota is famously clean, isn't it? It must be different. It's not different. It's still the Democrats.”

Yesterday, this ominous news was reported:

“More than six weeks after the Nov. 4 election, Democratic challenger Al Franken threatened to take his first lead Thursday over incumbent GOP Sen. Norm Coleman in the recount of votes in the hotly contested Minnesota Senate race.

“The State Canvassing Board ended its day Thursday with Franken having moved within just five votes of Coleman.”

This morning the Coleman lead was down to two.

For those who believe in honest government, be they liberals or conservatives, there’s plenty of work to do.
