Believing Ted Cruz was an honorable man who stood for the same founding principles I cherish, when he ran for the Senate I sent him several contributions.

During the primary season earlier this year, again I sent contributions to the Cruz campaign, believing he was an honorable man who would honorably represent the founding ideals I champion.

Tonight I learned that Ted Cruz is no longer a man worthy of my support, either for Senator from Texas or President of the United States.

Sadly, his refusal to endorse Donald Trump by name has exposed just how small a man Ted Cruz has become.

Cruz put his petty personal emotions ahead of our nation and sabotaged the unity that could have assured a substantial victory for Donald Trump in November.

Cruz gave the RNC his word that he would support the eventual GOP nominee. And he didn't.

In that failure, Cruz gave the sniveling "usual suspects" of the Democratic Party News Media fodder for their propaganda designed to elect Hillary Clinton, the most corrupt liar ever to run for President.

Supporting the ticket is not the same as endorsing the nominee by name, and everybody knows that.

Cruz failed to honor his word. And that is inexcusable.

And it means Ted Cruz is not an honorable man.

Nothing excuses his failure to honor his word.

Ted Cruz only differs from Hillary Clinton in the magnitude of his affront to honor, decency, and true statesmanship.

As Melania Trump noted Monday evening: "... your word is your bond, ... you do what you say and keep your promise."

Ted Cruz failed that test. He gave his word, and then he reneged on his promise

In doing so, he may very well have sacrificed his political future at the altar of his petty emotions.
